Ending was abrupt. I mean atleast they came from dysfunctional to semi is realistic. Instead of 1/2 measures i would have preffered either a break up or complete resolution. I found the girl a bit controlling I could relate with NM's character more

In terms of storytelling focus is on plot no unrealistic characters & a wide variety of genres to explore. Mors than we would have here.

Even I connected to his character, and he didn't over use the app. She was too controlling, and the last thing which she did, it was way too much!

Quite an interesting take! 👍🏼 I agree, apart from a handful of shows which I actually found to be better than American, we can't compare ITV with Western.

But I think it's mostly because here the writers tend to go overboard with masculinity which unfortunately comes only in the form of physical or verbal abuse. But in American, even though there are douchbags, heroines know how to tackle them.

Otherwise, let's face it, properly layered or unilayered but a genuinely good guy is handful in American shows too. Can't say about Korean though as I don't watch it.

Coming to similarities between Ansh and Aman, I do agree with you that there was no difference between the duo when they asked their significant others to leave the house.

But even then, I wouldn't compare them to be the same.

Basic reason being, in a span of 9-10 years (Serial timeline) and 409 Episodes, Ansh questioned Piya only once and when they got reunited, he was remorseful, mentioned multiple times how wrong he was and actually proved it.

Aman never did that. We saw him repenting once when Roshni died for the first time and then again this sacrifice drama where he died multiple times. Even if he had shown remorse, he couldn't stay true to his own promise and kept insulting Roshni including her family.

Ansh kept it strictly personal with Piya. Even when he thought Pari was Piya's daughter from her 2nd marriage, he ensured her safety first and then jumped into the jeep where Adi was trapped. He made sure Piya got out first and then jumped with Adi.

I know I sound like a blind fan and who knows, may be I am. But character development is a huge thing. You and I, both are DeLena fans. We know how many times Damon screwed up. Yet, we cheered for the bad guy because he had progression.

Throughout their journey, Ansh did one fatal mistake. Even when I hated him to the core, I had to forgive him because he had evolved. He learned from his mistake and was repentent. So how can we compare him with Aman?

As far as Bhasmika is concerned, she was a proper villain and I don't even consider her as a third angle. Ansh met her formally and in normal world, people do move on. We see that in American shows too, even if the protagonists solve their issues later. Didn't Elena date Liam when she erased Damon's memories? So why hung up on Bhasmika who was introduced to him through family? It's not that he was smitten by her and like a lot of other MLs went on dates with her and promised a future. He was honest with her from the beginning that he was getting married for his son and without his approval, he would back out.

It's not that he was dancing in pubs and blasted Nishan't office occasionally just because he THOUGHT Piya got married and MOVED ON. Don't tell me he was powerless because let's face it, once you decide to get rogue, it doesn't really matter how you will manage.

About wanting Piya back as Adi's mother, I would rather be happy if they had gone that way. I genuinely wanted Piya to get married to someone else but cordial relationship between parents is also necessary for kids. So what if Ansh needed the mother of his child? A person who is over his past but ready to contact his ex and stay cordial for his kid would always be superior to me than someone who would boast of his capability but wouldn't contact his ex for ego.

Unfortunately, the makers did half way as he returned when Ved mata said Piya got married.

I am not really an ardent Ansh fan. Ask Madhura, half the time she feels I need excuses to roast Ansh! 😛 But that doesn't mean I would compare him with the great Aman Junaid Khan over his one mistake.

As far as Piya is concerned, she had been strong since her introduction till the last episode. Power isn't a fact here. Yes, she went to CRYBABY MODE when Mo first got released but even before that, she wouldn't take anyone's crap, including Ansh. Yes, after getting in hang of her powers she became a pro. But just power didn't make her strong. And if it's needed to show someone in sexy avatar to show power, then it's makers and a certain set of audiences' problem. In that sense, even Roshni is Ayana. Who stops her from taking Aman's class?

My last point is, definitely they focused on Mo way too much and PiyAnsh were in background a lot of times. But growth and development is something different. Otherwise in Season format we generally get 20+ episodes. So it's not possible that PiyAnsh got saved only because of Mo, as they didn't get SS. Except that super forced leap, they were always together.

To ruin a character, you need 1/3 of SS that they got here.

Phew! If Alisha sees this, she'll say I have written yet another love-letter in PiyAnsh's defense. 🤪

But what I believe to be true, I'll always support that.

Even if they had copied Nazar, they could still make the duo lovable. There have been adaptations which were praised more than the original only because of the character's arc and other things.

Nazar is not the best; in many people's standard it may be worst but Ansh can never be compared to Aman. Otherwise, we can always agree to disagree.
