Ek Nazar Nozor par....

I finally got the time to do this. Out of curiosity I watched the first 3 episodes of Nozor some time back. How would they compare to our show ? What would they do differently in theirs ? Particularly our Daayan’s 😈

In the opening shot when they introduced Maya as a frightened young woman in the railway station. I couldn’t help comparing her to Mo. She convincingly comes off as an innocent woman in a way that even Mo could not. Mo in comparison comes off as a sly vixen trying to act coy. For a few seconds she even had me fooled knowing she’s a daayan.

But when it’s her turn to be menacing when’s she terrorising her victim there she can’t beat her hindi counterpart. She comes off as cute like one of those heroines of asian dramas , while Mo looks positively predatory.

Observe this scene while Mo opens her jaws to devour her victim

Maya looks like she’s daintily sipping nectar.

Maya lacks the oomph among other things. It’s not just about doing a role. Mo’s role is tailor made for her. So whoever fills her shoes needs to be equally dynamic.

This was about Daayan’s, the rest whoever wants to discuss other characters or other aspects of Nozor... i would love to hear about it.

Okay, so finally I'm here...

I haven't watched complete episodes of Nojor... Just watched a few random clips of some major events.

I completely agree with everything that you listed while comparing the two Daayans... Mohona and Maya.

I have been saying this since the beginning of Nazar... There is no one and there can be no one like Mohona and Monalisa. No one can beat Mona in playing the Daayan.

Now, coming to other things...

First and foremost, the VFX...

The quality of VFX in Nojor was total bakwas.

Let's start with the change in the eye colour... In Nazar, they showed us a transition from normal eyes to the golden ones (or even blue in case of Sarpika). Here, the golden (and the blue and purple ones too) looked like light bulbs popping out of their eyes... Moreover, the golden eyes looked more like yellow.

Then, a few scenes which were heavy in VFX...

The scene where Ansh brings Pia to RH with Pia tied to his back and him climbing the wall... It was awesome. But in Nojor, it clearly looked as if Ayush was crawling on the floor on his hands and knees with Ishani tied to his back...

Then the VFX used for showing the Sarpika body was absolutely crap.

Then, the Navratri special Tandav episode...

Sorry, but which Goddess wears an anarkali suit??

Plus was that dance that Ishani performed even a Tandav??? Yes, a few steps were definitely great but overall, it merely looked like a classical dance performance.

Then, the killing of the Asur... There too, it was just... What to say?

In Nazar, we got a nice scene where Ansh lifted Pia and both were in air... There, Ayush lifted Ishani but he himself was standing on the ground!! It looked totally ajeeb...

Then the Chudail...

Sorry, but again no one can play Dilruba like Sreejita. The Chudail, Rimjhim was nothing in front of Dilruba. Even her 'Hihihihihihi' looked forced.

Plus if I compare Chudail Pia with Chudail Ishani and Chudail Ansh with Chudail Ayush, again I found Nazar actors way better than them.

There are a few more points which I'll post later on... 😊

Costume was almost similar except the bangles in her hand... Here, they made Dilruba wear all those bangles in her wrists as well as arms. There, they simply wrapped ghunghroos on her arms instead of bangles.
