Vedant has come with different surname than Sehgal. It was his interview sometime back in which it was written that in the long run, they are going to be brothers and Disha is going to be his Bhabhi etc.

Sharma, who has been the homely and sober Krishna, turns over a new leaf as an outgoing, adventurous Vedant in Tumhari Disha.
Says Sharma, "I play Vedant, a completely chilled out guy who brings the much needed sunshine in Disha's life. After Kahaani… I wanted to do something different. While Krishna is a very family oriented guy, who could be a bit serious at times, Vedant has a different take on life.
He loves adding humor in people's life." Sharma, who has been a popular face on Kahaani… took some time stepping into his new role.
"Krishna gave me enormous recognition as a character on screen. I knew if I did something after this it would have to be big. I did think twice before playing Vedant, but when I realised how Vedant was shaping up, it got me excited."
The creative head for the show says, "Vedant's entry in the show is something even I look forward to.
For a soap like Tumhari Disha which has an otherwise serious proceeding, it is important to have some lighter moments and keep the viewers entertained. Disha who is on the cross roads of her life, is in dire needs of a friend and a companion.
Vedant adds in the right dose of humor in her otherwise stressed out life."
Even though the character has been introduced as Disha's friend, in the long run it will be revealed that he is Dk's brother making him Disha's brother in law. | |
