Actually, it's a long time I have watched the show, initial episodes, I am talking about intial episodes , also, I might have skipped few scenes in the starting, I am confused that, whether it was school or junior college. Because even schools upto class 12th are addressed as college. So, did they enter into the college in class 11th and studied for 2 years together?

Now, coming to the optimism, in my opinion, their friendship has their highs and lows. Only Sheheryar was optimistic, but even he tells Shariq in a conversation on phone that Saad and Shazain are rich and such friends make friends only to pass time and Shariq was shocked when he heard this from a person like Sherry.

Saad and Shazain both had trust issues. Both weren't ready to listen to each other. Even Shariq was angry at Shazain and took a small revenge in the interview.

I don't think that time span can define the strength of friendship. If they studied together for two years, they not only studied but lived in the same room of hostel, they spent whole day and nights together for two years continuously. Sometimes, it takes years to build a strong friendship and sometimes, it takes few months, it's just, how you get along with the people. So, it's quite possible to see such bond with two years being spent together that too the most mature part of school life.

In my opinion, that wasn't too optimistic. I still have friends who I made in class 11th and 12th, who are closer to me in comparison to the friends I have been known for years in school. So , I can imagine that optimism is quite possible.

I too have friends from my junior college times but not as good as my school friends. Especially true for group friendships. Not everyone is equally invested and dependent on the friendship once They move on to their next phases in life.

Yeah, obviously, we all experience different things and make our perception regarding that. Actually in EEW, only Saad's army life was shown properly, his making new friends ( as when we make new friends, we somehow get involved with the new ones, while Shariq made two friends and Sheheryar and Shazain were shown with no new friends. May be the rift in their friendship made them more irked to miss each other.

And yes, I do believe that after marriage they would involve in their own lives like Shazain was shown more with Rani and Saad with Dua. The drama was based on friendship mainly so they had to show more scenes of friends and emphasize on how good they are as friends, than their personal lives but I still feel that they balanced out friendship and personal lives quite well. There were more scenes of Shariq Sherry together as they were still unmarried while Saad and Shazain were shown busy in their lives except few scenes.

I liked that the female characters had careers.

The scenes of Saad and his mom were the best 👍🏼, these two were amazing to watch.
