Abhinandan part was uncalled for.

Sheheryar was my most favourite character. He was actually the best written character in whole play. His meeting with Khurshid and Firdous Saab, him making Shazain realize his mistakes. That's called real friendship who find good in you and bring you on right path.

I do agree that they gave the less time to Shariq's character. The character could have written in a better way. But still Shariq was my second favorite character after Sheheryar.

I like Ahad ,even I like Alizeh but Saad and Dua scenes looked forced, the natural chemistry wasn't there, it looked boring and I had to even skip their scenes.

Same for Shazain and Rani, Rani's track was very loud though ,I liked their conversation in the last episode. They could have kept their track little balanced.

I am glad that they added Gulzar's Part. He was funny and very natural. Would love to see him in other shows.

But overall, EEW was a good experience, every episode teaches you something without any preaching. Yeah, some scenes were forced and some characters too which weren't needed. But still overall I liked it, such a breath of fresh air. ♥

Saad and his mom's chemistry was so on point. His initial awkward and heldback relationship with his father which then changes into a respectful and mutual admiration not only as father n son but as two army officers was commendable.

Story isn't that complex just the screenplay which is twisted. I would 1000% recommend this drama if you wana see some spectacular performances from Ahad, Sajal and also Zarnish.

Thank you for the recommendation.😊 I'll try to resume watching it after Eid. 😃

Aangan is another complicated drama.I remember I watched it on :

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. Saad's parents and their chemistry with Saad was on point. His mother was his friend more than his mother. His father was strict but he also reminded him the importance of friends in life. I loved them plus the way they discussed about Saad's career and his conversations with Saad was just amazing.

Actually, there were so many moments to discuss about. I had mentioned few in EEW thread even.

I liked Shariq's sister too. Shazain's grandfather. Actually, for the last time, I wanted few interactions between all the parents.

Okay so thank God it's not just me who just watched ehd e wafa. 😆Quarantine made me try it and I was like why didn't I think about this before! Finished it two days. Found it real interesting and the story was fast paced. No issue got stretched for more than needed.

I like your analysis. You have got some great points!

I haven't watched any of Ahad's shows before this. I know hes known for his good work and when I watched this I couldn't agree more. He made fall for Saad instantly

Saad like you said was the disciplined one however he was highly influenced by his friends. We all know this type of people who change their way of living according to the company they keep. I feel like joining army was the best decision for him as he could grow entirely as a human being and as a officer there. His family were portrayed well too. I loved the equation he shared with his parents. While his mother was his fallback and he could share anything with her, his father was like a person he looked upto. I felt really happy when Saad made his father proud. I feel this reflects on reality too, on how father's are the ones who are more concerned about a child's career and they are the ones with more expectations while the mother will love and is proud of her child no matter what. Saad I feel was brilliantly written character.

Shazain. I didn't expect his character to turn out so grey. I mean he was always the trouble maker and the one who came up all the not so good ideas but, I didn't expect him to grow from that to what he became. Though it was properly justified knowing his family background and his character of being a go getter. I felt him to be childlike at times. When he acted irrationally for a moment and would understand in the next moment itself.

Also I think you got it wrong. Shazain never was intelligent. I mean he was in other works but not in studies. He failed the 10th 3 times if I remember correctly. And the only reason he got into the college is because of sources and requests. His father mentions it once.

Shariq, they could have played more with his character however they didn't. It was all about his career. Also I liked his chemistry with his partner (I forgot the name) neitherless he seemed more like a convenient character.

Sheryar was the heart of show. He was the only character who kept no ill intentions towards his friends and didn't get his ego on everything. He was not just the glue sticking the group together he was a good person. The way he cleared the misunderstandings every time and stood for right is admirable. Also I loved the way he behaved with Masooma except for letting her go. He actually wanted the best for her. He was the gem of the show!

Apart them Dua's father and mother are praiseworthy too! How they supported their daughter when she needed them the most! Usually dramas lack this. Parents tend to listen to relatives more than their children. I'm glad they weren't like this. Also Dua's relationship with her father was beautiful.

Saad and Dua : I know right! They had zero chemistry. They had such a beautifully built story line and great scenes together however they didn't give that feeling of being in love. Like when Saad comes to Dua's house and helps her and then takes her ring size. Every scene was new and beautifully shown. However there were zilch feelings.

Raani I found her her adorable. Granted she acted ott sometimes but her character lit the show for me. Also I love how the contrast between two families and two world is shown. Like with Saad and Dua and Rani and Shazain. Also the family of Saad then family of Shazain also family of Sheryar! Every family was portrayed properly.

Humayun and war scenes I agree with you. It kinda felt forced. Also I laughed at Humayun's surprise cameo. It didn't fit well.

Apart from the flaws ehd e wafa was a brilliantly made drama.

Can anyone tell me if this received good ratings or not?

I must have missed that scene but now that you say, it makes total sense given how Shahzain and his family used their power and influence.

Such a missed opportunity. Alizeh had zero expressions emoting any feelings of love, longing or desire and probably the reason why Ahad also looked disinterested in romancing her. 😃Theirs was the weakest chemistry amongst all the couples inspite of having the most screentime.

Heck even Zorro and Saad shared better chemistry than Dua and Saad.🤣

Did anyone feel that the kind of bond depicted between them four was way to optimistic for 1.5-2yrs duration? I mean great friendships can happen in short time but this one seemed more like a bond that would have taken atlst a few more years.

They should have been shown as school friends rather than just the junior college friends.

Actually, it's a long time I have watched the show, initial episodes, I am talking about intial episodes , also, I might have skipped few scenes in the starting, I am confused that, whether it was school or junior college. Because even schools upto class 12th are addressed as college. So, did they enter into the college in class 11th and studied for 2 years together?

Now, coming to the optimism, in my opinion, their friendship has their highs and lows. Only Sheheryar was optimistic, but even he tells Shariq in a conversation on phone that Saad and Shazain are rich and such friends make friends only to pass time and Shariq was shocked when he heard this from a person like Sherry.

Saad and Shazain both had trust issues. Both weren't ready to listen to each other. Even Shariq was angry at Shazain and took a small revenge in the interview.

I don't think that time span can define the strength of friendship. If they studied together for two years, they not only studied but lived in the same room of hostel, they spent whole day and nights together for two years continuously. Sometimes, it takes years to build a strong friendship and sometimes, it takes few months, it's just, how you get along with the people. So, it's quite possible to see such bond with two years being spent together that too the most mature part of school life.

In my opinion, that wasn't too optimistic. I still have friends who I made in class 11th and 12th, who are closer to me in comparison to the friends I have been known for years in school. So , I can imagine that optimism is quite possible.
