Okay so thank God it's not just me who just watched ehd e wafa. 😆Quarantine made me try it and I was like why didn't I think about this before! Finished it two days. Found it real interesting and the story was fast paced. No issue got stretched for more than needed.
I like your analysis. You have got some great points!
I haven't watched any of Ahad's shows before this. I know hes known for his good work and when I watched this I couldn't agree more. He made fall for Saad instantly
Saad like you said was the disciplined one however he was highly influenced by his friends. We all know this type of people who change their way of living according to the company they keep. I feel like joining army was the best decision for him as he could grow entirely as a human being and as a officer there. His family were portrayed well too. I loved the equation he shared with his parents. While his mother was his fallback and he could share anything with her, his father was like a person he looked upto. I felt really happy when Saad made his father proud. I feel this reflects on reality too, on how father's are the ones who are more concerned about a child's career and they are the ones with more expectations while the mother will love and is proud of her child no matter what. Saad I feel was brilliantly written character.
Shazain. I didn't expect his character to turn out so grey. I mean he was always the trouble maker and the one who came up all the not so good ideas but, I didn't expect him to grow from that to what he became. Though it was properly justified knowing his family background and his character of being a go getter. I felt him to be childlike at times. When he acted irrationally for a moment and would understand in the next moment itself.
Also I think you got it wrong. Shazain never was intelligent. I mean he was in other works but not in studies. He failed the 10th 3 times if I remember correctly. And the only reason he got into the college is because of sources and requests. His father mentions it once.
Shariq, they could have played more with his character however they didn't. It was all about his career. Also I liked his chemistry with his partner (I forgot the name) neitherless he seemed more like a convenient character.
Sheryar was the heart of show. He was the only character who kept no ill intentions towards his friends and didn't get his ego on everything. He was not just the glue sticking the group together he was a good person. The way he cleared the misunderstandings every time and stood for right is admirable. Also I loved the way he behaved with Masooma except for letting her go. He actually wanted the best for her. He was the gem of the show!
Apart them Dua's father and mother are praiseworthy too! How they supported their daughter when she needed them the most! Usually dramas lack this. Parents tend to listen to relatives more than their children. I'm glad they weren't like this. Also Dua's relationship with her father was beautiful.
Saad and Dua : I know right! They had zero chemistry. They had such a beautifully built story line and great scenes together however they didn't give that feeling of being in love. Like when Saad comes to Dua's house and helps her and then takes her ring size. Every scene was new and beautifully shown. However there were zilch feelings.
Raani I found her her adorable. Granted she acted ott sometimes but her character lit the show for me. Also I love how the contrast between two families and two world is shown. Like with Saad and Dua and Rani and Shazain. Also the family of Saad then family of Shazain also family of Sheryar! Every family was portrayed properly.
Humayun and war scenes I agree with you. It kinda felt forced. Also I laughed at Humayun's surprise cameo. It didn't fit well.
Apart from the flaws ehd e wafa was a brilliantly made drama.
Can anyone tell me if this received good ratings or not?
