LOL.
It is a good watch although a quite slow when their is no action/investigation going on, before watching the series, I was like yeh hero hain, Gaurav Kapur look alike, but the guy did a good job. Although a mostly moralistic character with little to no flaw, their were a chance of him being totally uninteresting character but few things are there like the usual PTSD, his "man of few words" and sometimes irrational morality made him a compelling character. I think thought USP of the movie is the interesting villain, who is multifaceted.
Also the hero's partner( or boss) played by a black actor is also excellent. Although a typical angry African American military man role, he also has few layers, although tiny, but there is.
All in all, the character work of the three main characters is top notch. The females in the movie aren't exactly that featured apart from villain's wife, and that actress did a good job, hero's gf is like a typical love interest role with a few important yet minimal involvement. There is also an interesting yet small cameo role by French female officer.
X men Phoenix movie it sucked
Saw a Telugu movie HIT, a thriller, one-time watch, a typical who done it a thriller, some scenes weren't necessary, it slowed down the narrative but overall a good one ( 6/10)
Malayalam movie: Anjam Pathiraa), again a thriller. Very well taken, no un-necessary scenes. A serial killer who keeps attacking the police personnel. Definitely worth watching once (7/10)
I saw motichur chaknachoor on netflix and honestly i am so disappointed with the super annoying second half of the film. The first part was light breezy and fun but soon we get hit by old age sexist stuff and maltreatment of women and all that is so easily accepted in that movie jaise kuch hua hi nahi. No matter what the situation is, there is nothing as bad as physical abuse.
And while this actually happens in India, whats weird is how it just ends all mushy and trying so hard to be a stereotypical happy ending. The horrible writing in the second half destroys what could have been a complete feel good movie.
The acting is good by everybody. but the entire story couldn't be woven into a lucid smooth movie. I was so happy in the first part But now i feel like i have wasted my time.
This film doesnt know what it wants to be. 5/10
Boo.
Panga: A little slow but has its heart in the right place. Kangana is superb; totally nails the character effortlessly. The actor who played her husband is good too. 7/10
Brooklyn 99 Season 7: First few episodes were great. However, last couple of episodes, minus the heist one, lost the charm. I didn't really enjoy Judy this time around. However, what I really liked about this season is that they focused more on Rosa . Charles was in his element as usually. Missed Gina. Terry, surprisingly, didn't have to do much in this season. Other than that, Debbie was a fun character. Wished she had lasted longer.
Manifest Season 2
It is an NBC show. it's very intriguing with some supernatural and suspense stuff. However, two seasons have passed but major questions about the mystery still remain unanswered.
The story is about a plan that takes off from Jamaica in 2013 and faces a major turbulence while it's in the air. When it lands in NY, for passengers merely a few hours have passed but the world has moved 5 & a half years ahead. How the passengers deal with this ordeal and adjust to their new lives is the major focus initially. However, some passengers start to have un-explainable experiences that hint towards supernatural stuff.
The Boys, absolutely awesome series. A must watch superhero series among the mainstream superhero stuff. If superheroes ever exist, this one is more closer to reality than Marvel universe.
Dexter season 3, Dexter as time goes by, isn't as unpredictable as it was, but it is entertaining to the core. It has no boring moments. And season three is same, that actor who plays Dexter's new friend, a Cuban attorney is great, and actor playing Dexter is awesome as always.
The Prisoners: It was something which I felt that the movie could have been great, but due to its such a long ass screentime, it felt quite underwhelming towards the end. It is a good watch with a good level of suspense and no way a bad movie, but I felt it could have been trimmed well. Hugh Jackman is kinda one note, although that Brookeback Mountain guy is excellent.
Shutter Island: Yeh movie mast thi, like excellent mast. Start till end gripping, although mujhe laga hi tha that it will end as it ended. Dicaprio, woh Hulk wala banda and that girl who played Dicaprio's wife were all excellent.

While I , like most of people , love movies of my nostalgic times even if they are pure farcical crap but these ones still make me hit next...
