Throwback Thursday: Reportedly, Hema Malini Ruined Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's First Night after Marriage; which led to Gauri sleeping on an Iron Chair getting Bitten by Mosquitoes...
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are touted to be one of Bollywood's most adorable couple. The duo never fail to give us couple goals and parent goals at the same time. They are not only an ideal couple but also doting parents to their three beautiful children.
The two met in their late teens and fell in love and later made their relationship official on October 25, 1991 by exchanging vows in the traditional way amid family and friends. Over the years they have seen many ups and down both on the professional front and personal front but despite being together for over three decades now, their relationship is still rock solid. They have each others back always and their love story happens to be one of the most beautiful one among Bollywood's couples.
However, just like their interesting relationship, today being throwback Thursday, we have come across an interesting incident that happened on the first night of their wedding.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's First Night was spent on the sets of a film:
Yes, you read that right! Very few people know that Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's first night post their wedding was ruined very badly and was spent on the sets of a film because of the 'Dream Girl' of Bollywood Hema Malini.
It so happened that, Shah Rukh was shooting with Hema for the movie 'Dil Aashna Hai back then and his wedding day, Hema had called King Khan and said that she would come for the shooting if he wants to shoot.
After getting Hema's call, SRK got really excited and happy, and he thought that he would surprise his ladylove, by making her meet the 'Dream Girl' of Bollywood. But, it seems destiny and Hemaji had different plans for him. The idea turned out to be a painstaking one and SRK surely regretted not saying No to Hema for shooting on that day. It so happened, Shah Rukh reached the studio along with wife Gauri on time and everyone was present there except for Hema Malini.
SRK then went and asked the assistant directors who were present on the sets and they informed him that the senior actress will be coming soon and that they should wait for her. Both, SRK and Gauri kept waiting for the veteran actress but she did not turn up. Tired of all the wait, he then decided to give his new bride some rest, he took her to the make-up room and left her there and went for his shooting at around 11 pm. The shooting went on till about two o'clock, but Hema Malini still did not reach the set.
Later, when Shahrukh returned to the make-up room, what he saw made him very emotional and regret his decision. He saw that Gauri, who was dressed in a heavy wedding sari and jewelry, had slept on an iron chair and the whole room was full of mosquitoes biting his ladylove.
Looking at all of it, Shah Rukh Khan felt miserable about himself and in fact, had tears in his eyes since he was helpless because it was his struggling days and he could not speak about this to anyone.

I am not a huge fan of SRK but its heartbreaking to see how seniors would behave so inhumanely...I wish this truly stops when someone reaches a particular level of fame, power and success 😭
