Dipika Chikhalia, best known for playing Sita in the epic Ramayan was asked that whom would she see from Bollywood as the new age Sita, Lord Rama, Raavan, and Lakshman.

Replying to the question, the 54-year-old actor said that Alia Bhatt can play Sita and while giving a reason for it she said that as per different versions of Ramayan, Sita was not a tall lady. Talking about Ram and Lakshman, she suggested that Hrithik Roshan and Varun Dhawan can give justice to the respective characters. On the other hand, to essay Raavan on the screen, Dipika believes that Ajay Devgn will be an excellent choice for it.

Neither Hrithik nor Varun would suit to play Sri Rama. They lack the "thehraav".

None of the bollywood actors today have the dignified look or calm demeanor to play Lord Ram

I think in TV, the person who is playing Krishna in mordern Maharbahat on Star plus can act as Ram

For Sita again no one is there that suits the role

Vidya Balan or Tabu would have suited in younger days

Ravan again no good actor there, may be that Bahubhali actor who played main villan can play

If its made again there have to be newcomers. Arun Govil and Dipika were not huge names at the time the OG was made. They just fit the part.

Gurmeet also did a great job and was a newcomer...I think it added to the charm that he was from Bhagalpur (Bihar) and the Kingdom of Kosala was present day UP...so close :)

Hrithik as Ram and Alia as Sita, are they out of their minds? Someone like Deepika and Ranveer will be too repetitive in my opinion.

Varun Dhawan as Laxman is not bad, he just wouldn’t be able to garner the angry look though. Can be just please not make Ramayan, I think they will ruin it.
