I've already opened a thread for criticism of stars. This is a slightly different one. Here, u can unabashedly praise your favourites without being apologetic.

Let me start:

Deepika -- A phenomenal combination of actress and star. Can pull off anything with ease, be it a Tamasha, a Piku, a YJHD, A Chennai Express or a Mastani. Huge range and versatility. I I love her screen presence, dancing and her ability to morph into the character which she's playing.

Kangana/Vidya Balan -- Can chew up everyone else on screen when they are acting. Difficult to look away when they are in their finest, which is doing different roles with panache and elan.

Ayushman - A complete outsider with the brain of a veteran. Knows how to pick scripts which entertain as well as give a social message. Has the knack of playing down his weaknesses and showcasing his strengths.

Ranbir - A star-actor who takes his craft very, very seriously. Knows how to sink his teeth deep into each character, bringing out unexpected nuances and moulding himself accordingly. The finest product of nepotism IMO.

Kareena - Is a game-changer for women in the industry. Has loads of charisma and star-appeal. Again, an actress who knows what works, and is willing to change with changing times.

Hrithik-- Form is temporary but class is permanent. is known as Greek God for a reason. Also, hasn't relied on his looks alone, but is good at acting and superb at dancing. Is still as relevant 20 years on as he was with mass hysteria during KNPH.

Jagjit Singh jee and Chitra Singh jee

The only person I would always always remain thankful for being in music industry and in Bollywood.

I really hated Ghazals once upon a time. On old cable channel they would play his Ghazals for like 3 hours constant and I just do hated it.

When I was in class 11 and was going through rough personal time my best friend gave me one of the CD of old pop songs and there were some Ghazals too.

There was this ghazal "Aapko bhul jaye hum inte to bewafa nahi" by Chitra Singh... I instantly fell in love with her voice and listen to the other songs (not original) of her "ruke ruke se kasam" and "saare badan ka khoon" followed by other like

"Suna tha ke wo ayenge anjuman me"

" Ye kya jaane me jaana hai"

"Hum me hi thi Na koi baat"

Than her duet with Jagjit Singh jee

"Din Guzar Gaya"

"Mere dil me tu hi tu hai"

"Agar hum kahe aur wo muskura de"

Etc

Than I listened his singles

"Bohot dino ki baat hai"

"Wo kagaz ki kasti"

"Tamanna fir machal jaye"

"Tere baare me jab Socha nahi tha"

These ghalazs were my solace in the hard time..

I bought many more of his Ghazals CDs and got to know many more.. later when I entered college I started to download his Ghazals. It was really a hard task since there were many and Internet wasn't fast during those times. But I was like damn happy to get to listen many more of his Ghazals previously unheard.

It was around 2010 and I was ib college first year. I searched about him and found about his son's demise and step daughter's suicide. It was like a shock and disbelief that this couple went through so much. I read that Chitra jee stopped singing altogether after demise of their Son. I could finally understand the source of pain in his voice.

I just had one wish to attend his one concert at least but he too unexpectedly passed away in 2011. I was literally devastated. More sad for Chitra Singh jee as she had suffered unfairly throughout and still she is alone and suffering. I was frantically searching more of his Ghazals, unreleased one , hidden gems , some performed only during concerts etc to find some more peace. I just wanted to collect all his Ghazals . During those times only I stared to listen to ghulam ali jee and Mehedi Hassan jee. Loved them too but not like how I loved Jagjit Singh's ghazal. I stared reading works of Ghalib , Faraz and Faiz.. later on also of bashir Badr and Jaun Elia..

जाते-जाते वो मुझे अच्छी निशानी दे गया

उम्र भर दोहराऊँगा ऐसी कहानी दे गया
