This was really well written. Abir has a lot of patience, really. I would not have been able to have such a "sabhya" conversation with Kuhu if I had been in his place. She's done so much to hurt Mishti and I just really hate her at times.
But yes, I agree that if she felt that Mishti was taking her grandparents away from her, she should have said something. But she should also realize that they're her grandparents, but they're Mishti's parents. So, of course, their first priority would be their daughter, who's had her whole world changed. But yeah, she should have said something. Even Mishti could have complained about how Kuhu had been treating her, but Mishti was afraid of hurting the people who took her in, so I understand. Kuhu had had more time to acclimate herself to them, and she already considered them family, felt that she had a right on them. She definitely could have said something.
But I'm so, so, so happy to see how Nanko has grown up. He's admitting to his mistakes so freely, he's understanding where he went wrong, and he's trying to make things better. So, so, so proud of my kid. ❤
And of course, Abir finally saying something to Kuhu. I really want it to happen on the show too. Somehow Abir just keeps overlooking and lets Kuhu off the hook, which he shouldn't. It's really necessary for him to talk to her before things get really out of hand.
That lil bit at the end was so heart-warming. My MishBir are happy. What else could a girl want for?
Thank you so very much for this beautiful short story. I loved every bit of it. Absolutely, completely, mind-blowingly amazing. Thank you!
