Though I agree with one thing that he said that there are no content driven shows on TV.

Trp driven, bina sar pair ki kahaniyan haišŸ¤”Plot changes suddenly without any sense.

It's like a govt job for tv actors with daily soaps running for billions of years without any proper story. :/

And also that mostly women are shown as vampish, planning and plotting kinds. Usually I have noticed that miss goodytwo shoes type innocent girls are shown in traditional attire and the evil plotting bitchy type girl is shown as the 'modern' girl wearing western clothes.

Rest all his opinion his bakwaas.

Ekta has completely ruined television and at the same time made it a completely women powered space and has made so many women rich and thriving. But there is a reason why her products sell. There's an audience for it. To just blame her and not the audience too would be wrong. But its ironical how she has empowered the women in the industry and entertainment irl by doing the exact opposite on screen. At the end of the day, the TRP aunties wala audience wants to see the heroine beat the vamp and show her Naari shakti even in the most regressive ways. 🤬

I completely agree with that sentiment that Ekta singlehandedly changed TV for the worse. But because there is an audience it keeps happening. Now others have also joined.

But coming from him its a joke cause Ekta ka agenda kam yeh khudki agenda spread karna chahta hain šŸ˜† its so obvious what his actual problem is with the television industry : women ruling the roost.

True true. She has definitely made tv all about women.

I just hope that the makers also work on the content a bit too because sometimes I feel our audience watches whatever is served to them. Good or bad they'll watch anything. There used to be pretty good shows back in the day. Zee Zindagi was also very popular among women and Pakistani dramas which have fixed number of episodes are still a lot better than our daily soaps and Indians love Pak dramas.

*Sigh*

Oh yeah this uncle's frustration definitely seems to be the fact that there are all shows with women as protagonists and men with sidelined characters. Lol šŸ˜‚

Haagi — I liked English Medium in parts. It dragged but the end was nice. Particularly the whole freedom scenario from both point of views.

Though they could have named it anything other than English Medium coz English wasn’t the focus like Hindi was in first installment.

Deepak Dobriyal as always was hilarious man. Boys played well.. 🤣
