And also that mostly women are shown as vampish, planning and plotting kinds. Usually I have noticed that miss goodytwo shoes type innocent girls are shown in traditional attire and the evil plotting bitchy type girl is shown as the 'modern' girl wearing western clothes.

Ekta has completely ruined television and at the same time made it a completely women powered space and has made so many women rich and thriving. But there is a reason why her products sell. There's an audience for it. To just blame her and not the audience too would be wrong. But its ironical how she has empowered the women in the industry and entertainment irl by doing the exact opposite on screen. At the end of the day, the TRP aunties wala audience wants to see the heroine beat the vamp and show her Naari shakti even in the most regressive ways. š¤¬
I completely agree with that sentiment that Ekta singlehandedly changed TV for the worse. But because there is an audience it keeps happening. Now others have also joined.
But coming from him its a joke cause Ekta ka agenda kam yeh khudki agenda spread karna chahta hain š its so obvious what his actual problem is with the television industry : women ruling the roost.
