as Sam pointed out Shweta was a good opportunity to break his rishta with Kuhu which anyways he wanted to do, so why get rid of Shweta

To my recollection, Kunal has only had one genuine conversation about Kuhu with Abir, and that was the night before the dreaded divorce date (and even then, he doesn't talk about his feelings, he talks about how important she is to the family). Before that, I don't remember Kunal having a conversation with Abir about his feelings for Kuhu that was actually genuine. He had faked it initially to lead Abir on into thinking that he liked Kuhu. But someone correct me if I'm forgetting something.

I think a real mark of Kunal's love will be when he really opens up to Abir about how he feels about Kuhu. Abir is the most important part of his life (arguably his entire life), so whatever Kunal genuinely shares with Abir carries a certain amount of significance and weight.

Kunal is not in the space to prioritise his love life over the other drama going on at rjv house right now, but has been talking about Kuhu with abir, some scenes I can recall are, first after that yoga scene in the morning following their SR, then at holi when Kuhu has refused to come downstairs & he says he respects her decision, then his insecurity whether Kuhu loves him just before kidnapping scene recently

Nice conversations (I read through the last couple pages).. Sam, PF and Meera you guys analyzed and talked so much about Kunal that I have nothing left to discuss..

But one thing I loved is how you guys talked about Kuhu being the aaj ki ladki type girl giving 2 hoots to Shwet and her glue-ness to Kunal. She was pretty confident and carried herself without losing self respect or being petty and jealous. I might want to go back and watch those episodes but I'm still stuck in episode 3. Let me go binge watch and come back!

I don't want Kunal to talk to Abir about his feelings for Kuhu. Ther one person whom he should go to has to be Kuhu herself or I might give Varsha a chance too but not Abir. Abir has been a great influence in his life till date. He's like that group of friends who convince you that you love a girl when you just say she's cute without letting you finish. Sorry if this seemed harsh but that's how I see him.

Yes! Their relationship only is one big what if? 😆 I mean, going back even further, if Meenu hadn't stopped that first rishta, these two would have gone into a very sweet, innocent, arranged marriage with all the support from both families. That is one of the major appeals of their story -- a relationship that could be so straightforward (which is honestly what both of them wanted) becoming all epic and angsty because of the circumstances around them.

I really like how the writers didn't make Kuhu an overly jealous and petty girl around Shweta. She was extremely confident of herself the whole time, and she was never shown to have feelings of self-doubt or insecurity around her, despite the fact that Shweta is your stereotypical, "the girl who was super popular in school", type of person. And however naive she may have been to trust Kunal, at least she wasn't about throwing a fit about how Shweta was attempting to glue herself to Kunal. She was calm, composed, and extremely confident. And that is how you create a strong, incredibly attractive, "aaj ki ladki" female lead.

Ah gotcha! And I totally agree which is why I think there is a defying Abir and choosing Kuhu moment on the cards in the near future. Another what if: I honestly wish that Abir and Mishti would live separately because barring this dogma of family has to be together, I think it would actually work better for everyone. It doesn't seem to me like Mishti is interested in being the bahu so much as she is eager to get rid of the ghar todnewali tag. I think she would be much less anxious and have more peace of mind living with Abir in a nuclear setup. Actually, in my ideal headcanon, she just adopts Abir's banjara lifestyle and they travel together most of the time. Kuhu and Kunal do what they do best and hold down the fort at home. Both couples get to live their best lives.

@bold: YES! I especially loved the fact that the leads were wringing their hands about how she would react and then she handled it more maturely than either of them. I wouldn't even say Kuhu was naive to believe Kunal, because he demonstrated very convincingly that he loved her. The impression she kept getting was, this guy loves me but external factors are keeping him from being with me so let's make the wedding happen and then once we're married, I'll work on the other stuff. In the end, the only real lie was that his feelings were buried a lot deeper than he let on, but it was still from within the confines of marriage, with the authority and access that gave her, that Kuhu was able to break Kunal's walls down and get to the love inside.

Okay, sorry for spamming but I was just watching a VM and a clip in it got me thinking about the leap. I would love to think about some HCs with you guys for those two months -- how did Kuhu get the idea for her business? How did she end up getting the whole family involved? She wrote that note thanking Kunal for his support, and we know he saved her by bringing that 'K' to the venue but he probably supported her business in other ways as well.

By the time we saw them, Kuhu was ignoring him and Kunal was trying desperately to get her attention. I imagine that taking up ket0 and his new funky 'Italian' suits were to get her attention too, so when/how did he take those interests up?

I think we can all agree that it's fun to think about a time when Kuhu was doing her own thing and Kunal was desperately trying to get her to notice him. 😈

I wanted to let y'all know in advance or rather as it is happening that I might not be able to respond to messages or fully contribute in discussions till well, I don't know when. It's not because I am busy or anything. I'm as free as I was before but something has shifted in my brain. I just can't seem to bring myself to write about or discuss the characters or do anything in life for that matter.

My anxiety has been increasing day by day and I tend to socially shut off when that happens. So, even though I have things I wish to contribute, I am just not able to bring myself to type them out.

Basically what I am trying to say is that please don't consider me being rude or anything like that if I just read and like posts because that's the most I am able to accomplish right now. I am sorry if I haven't replied to any messages. I'll try and do that when I feel a bit better.

Take some time off, spend time in the sun and meditate. There is an app called Headspace. It really helps with calming your anxiety.

I honestly think the writers had a brainfade with Kunal and how he behaved with Kuhu post their wedding. They completely forgot this cute crush he had on her. In fact, it's more probable that they basically went with the whole 'Kunal hates Kuhu' angle for drama. It was totally bizarre and I don't see a conflicted or guilty Kunal when I go through those episodes. It seemed like Kuhu became the receptacle for his hatred and fury. I wish the writers had at least shown us a more guilty Kunal who felt conflicted about his behaviour. Watching the older episodes makes me so angry at him for doing that to Kuhu.

@Snow- I agree with you. Kuhu most definitely deserves to have expectations of Kunal and Kunal can't hide behind the excuse of being shy or not being expressive enough because we know he moves mountains for the two people he claims to love the most: his bhai and maa.

Speaking of what will happen next, I agree with you guys that it's hard to think of a scenario where Kunal would choose his Kuhu lol, so IDK how Meenu's prophecy about the brothers brawl will come true. I am DEAD SURE Meenu will make sure Kunal finds out about Kuhu spiking Abir's drink sometime or the other, when she feels completely cornered.

I am really curious about how Kunal will react.
