I actually felt that hollowness in my gut after the war scene and coronation. Power struggle, the hunger for power, it's been happening since ages, still happening and will continue to happen till the world exists.

The war was avoidable. Lord Krishna tried for 15 years but then it couldn't be avoided when Duryodhan refused to give even 5 small villages to Pandavas.

To act on impulse is most likely to bring a negative consequence. This is one of the lessons of this wonderful piece.

Dharma demands rationality and patience. Anything impulsive is most likely against Dharma and bring destruction.

Well said. Santanu's desire, and Bheeshma's impulsive decision to keep himself away from the throne, the untimely death of the princes and the consequent sin done by Satyavathi, i.e, bringing Vyas to give an heir to Kuru Dynasty, then the birth of unhealthy kids and their weird ways of getting heirs, Kunti's childish glee in testing the boon, the cousins, and their jealousies, plots to over smart the other, and ultimately they dragged the Queen of Indraprastha to the royal court to disrobe her to douse their fire for supremacy, the injudicious silence of Duryadhan's parents, which finally lead to the interference of Lord Krishna to lead the war from the front !!

At every step and stage, women were insulted and treated like a lifeless log, used her as an oblation in the Yajna Vatika .. Drupad for revenge, Bheeshma for marrying his brothers brought the kanyas by waged a war against their sentiments, the resultant was the birth of Shikhandi, then Draupadi, what to say, she was there for a certain purpose, still tried her best to slip aside to store a few sensitive feelings deep in her heart, what she got? Lost her honor, her kids and finally left there as a lifeless log to wade through the royal responsibilities throughout her life!

Yes Sonnet , Dharma demands rationality and patience, but up to what extent??

I agree with your every word.

Thats true even Puneet Issar as Duryodhan was brilliant.

I remember long back in an interview I saw Puneet Issar telling that when he watched this series later with his kids and Draupadi vastra haran was shown, his kids told him that Papa aap bahut gande ho aapne wo Aunty ke saath aisa kyun kiya😳

I still remember this 2 lines from that interview😆
