And that is one of the main reason why kanha stops his dau too from impulsive actions. I love the relation here between the brothers. Mainly when dau scolds kanha and he in his own mischievous cunning manner maneuvers his dau. The respect is so evident irrespective of this. I still remember how he gets a scolding when he says he will go to fetch Rukmini alone :)

Well said. Santanu's desire, and Bheeshma's impulsive decision to keep himself away from the throne, the untimely death of the princes and the consequent sin done by Satyavathi, i.e, bringing Vyas to give an heir to Kuru Dynasty, then the birth of unhealthy kids and their weird ways of getting heirs, Kunti's childish glee in testing the boon, the cousins, and their jealousies, plots to over smart the other, and ultimately they dragged the Queen of Indraprastha to the royal court to disrobe her to douse their fire for supremacy, the injudicious silence of Duryadhan's parents, which finally lead to the interference of Lord Krishna to lead the war from the front !!

At every step and stage, women were insulted and treated like a lifeless log, used her as an oblation in the Yajna Vatika .. Drupad for revenge, Bheeshma for marrying his brothers brought the kanyas by waged a war against their sentiments, the resultant was the birth of Shikhandi, then Draupadi, what to say, she was there for a certain purpose, still tried her best to slip aside to store a few sensitive feelings deep in her heart, what she got? Lost her honor, her kids and finally left there as a lifeless log to wade through the royal responsibilities throughout her life!

Yes Sonnet , Dharma demands rationality and patience, but up to what extent??

I agree with your every word.

With the above perspective I feel very sorry for gandhari too. She became blind by choice but at the end she too lost every damn thing. The curse that she gave to Krishna at the end makes me actually feel very emphatic towards her and am sure the lord also felt that way and happily took the curse. It is besides the point that his entire clan had to vanish anyways as all were devtas in one form or the other.

^^ in addition people usually blame dury, yudi generation for being "Garam khoon" and cause of war... But I literally see it build from yayati... There was no alternative for kurukshetra IMO everything had to be imploded, the world wouldn't have been able to carry all that for like 5000 years.

Yup, the foundation for Kurukshetra was laid way back in a silly fight of a princess and a rishi-kumari over some misplaced garments. It's almost funny how life turns out! 🤡

Pro, the rishi-kumari and the Princess' husband was an even bigger reason for Kurukshetra.

Fair enough, although, if Sharmishtha and Devyani would not have fought over those clothes, Devyani wouldn't even be married to Yayati, and even if she did get married, Yayati could still go ahead and marry Sharmishtha without the curse from Shukracharya.

I'm just trying to say ke it's sometimes the tiniest of things that determine the future of an entire Yuga: the Butterfly Effect as they call it. 😳

Mahabharata, as emphasized by Vyasa, was an extraordinary book containing the teachings of the 4 Veda and the 18(?) Upa-vedas compiled in an easy-to-understand and entertaining manner.

I once read an article which said ke in the start of Kali yuga, the Brahmans were lost in their ego and denied Shudras and women the right to study or even listen to the Vedas!

So, Veda Vyasa decided that instead of fighting pointlessly with those Brahmans, he would write such a book, which will extend the knowledge of the 4 Vedas, and more, to those oppressed and suppressed by the conservative Brahmanical society. 😊

That is why he is God❤️

Kanhaji❤️

He remained playful amidst this mess created by humans out of their free-will.

That scolding and his reaction is so cute.

Haan true that.

Yayati did make way too many mistakes though. And we will discuss it soon :p

The point about Krishna and Balarama is, both of them well know who they are.

Dau knows who He is, and He has to act as He has to due to how Destiny is meant to be.

Every single action between the brothers is a Leela they play; Dau's impulsive action (which is actually not too many) has its own reasons and Tattva behind it.
