For Meenu-Parul-Mehul I need to re-watch the episodes 🤔
Aqua, I'm a nabeera creations follower. Love their vm's!
Meenu-Parul-Mehul...I have so many questions like why Parul is named the 'sauten' or made to feel guilty when she didn't know Mehul was married? She was just as innocent in the whole situation right?
How was kunal actually given away? Did Meenu put the proposal across or did Parul ask Meenu to mother Kunal? In one of the flashbacks we saw Meenu bringing baby Kunal but we didn't see Parul in the picture...🤔.
I wanted to see what actually went down 😒.
Some of my q's have probably been answered in the epis but I must have missed it.

I can see you are in full separation mode as well! 😆 I think I am making all the exact opposite assumptions. I don't think these two will have a significant separation from each other in the near future, simply because that would require too much focus on their individual storyline, and the writing has never been willing to go there. The way they handled the divorce confirmed that for me. On the other hand, that is exactly what makes their story interesting because they have become this couple, as a result, that fights and loves all with the assumption that this marriage is for good. This both makes it very real and very different from the usual packaging for angsty romance.
And yes! Let's please talk about my favourite sub-plot of Meenu-Parul-Mehul! 😃
I think Mishti bringing him to the house was the first time he was there since the whole scandal went down. Meenu probably had to to all kinds of things to keep him away all these years, which is why she was so upset when he finally got access through Mishti -- and that is what cemented her hatred as well.
Those of you who are watching old episodes, please keep sharing striking moments that you come across! I would love to go back and watch specific scenes without having to rewatch full episodes! I felt the same way as many of you when I went back and watched the first episodes about a month ago. Kuhu and Mishti's respective reactions to Ketu really set the stage for their characters!
Exactly! So the writers can't be blamed as this is what they've shown since day 1. Kuhu hates Mishti coz Mishti steals her limelight - knowingly or unkowingly and hurts her in the process. Worst is she doesn't listen to Kuhu's complains and asks her to shut up 😳
@Snow: I don't think Parul has ever been made to feel guilty about her relationship with Mehul -- rather, the two women teamed up and put the blame where it belonged. Parul is only made to feel guilty when she violates her prior agreement with BB. And I know I'll probably sound like a broken record, but I think the inequality in their relationship comes from Meenu's seniority in age and mostly her ability to provide. Parul became Meenu's dependent so she gave her a certain degree of authority over her life as well as Kunal's.
I have seen theories that maybe Meenu is actually the second wife and Abir illegitimate, but I don't think it really matters either way. When all of them took on Meenu's maiden name and became a part of her maternal family, she and Nanu became the ones with the power to decide who is legitimate or not. Even if Mehul reveals that Parul is his first wife and Kunal is therefore legitimate, it doesn't really benefit him in anyway while having the Rajvansh surname and being Meenu's son does. For me, this is exactly what makes Meenu so kickass -- by taking in his other wife and child and making them dependent on her, she made her cheating husband irrelevant.
Parul was there in the flashback when Meenu brought baby Kunal home as well, and we know from Mishti's meeting with her sister that Parul got to name Kunal. She also got to participate in Kunal's wedding functions and get sargi ready for Kuhu on KC. Meenu had no problem with Parul being active in Kunal's life, and in fact created opportunities herself. They both used the secret against each other to get what they wanted for their bio sons -- Parul used it to make Meenu go through with Kuku's wedding and Meenu used it to break Mishti and Abir up. It was only when the secret was revealed and Parul used the truth to defy Meenu and get Abir and Mishti together, that Meenu retaliated and the cracks appeared in their relationship.
@Nami: Exactly! Kuhu hurts Mishti through words and Mishti hurts Kuhu through actions (like ignoring her, or probing her secrets and making decisions on her behalf without her consent). The only thing I blame the writers for is trying to force feed us which one is "right" and which one "wrong."

Thanks for appreciating my effort😆 but sach kahun to kaafi free thi main.
Oooooh!!! New take!! Me likey!!
I am in separation mode because of all the foreshadowing we've got of Kunal leaving Kuhu alone to be a spectator in MA's life. I don't think Kuhu would or should stick around if she is nothing more than emotional support in Kunal's life. As Snow said, knowing what she was getting into at the time of the 2nd marriage does not mean she stops expecting from him.
Having said that, I do feel it's a bit early to judge Kunal right now. It's not been a long time in the show's timeline and I am still hopeful for a scene of him talking with Kuhu after Abir has left on foot for the resort.
Coming to your take, it's very plausible that we won't get a significant separation because that would require too much focus on them and that hasn't happened yet and it's probably never going to happen. And I agree that it would make the story interesting, majorly because separation is the usual outcome in these situations. If the writers were to do something different, it would be interesting to watch but I really don't want to Kuhu get hurt. She's already been through so much. That girl needs a break and a support system.
Let's talk about your fav sub-plot!!
So, I was watching this episode where Parul talks to Mehul infront of the in-house temple when he's trying to steal the idol. After Mehul leaves, she says that last time, Nanu had almost died. Her dialogues in the scene lead me to believe that she was present in the RV house the last time Mehul stopped by.
Also, I don't think he ever really knew about Kunal. He knew that there was a second kid but he did not really know his surname or anything because he only targetted Abir for his crimes.
Also, I think Parul being the first wife can probably be used as a tool to empower Parul. She had earlier said that Meenu's daaman was saaf whereas there were daags in her daaman. I think she was made to believe that to keep her down.
I can't seem to remember the various other observations I had because I am too sleepy and it's 4:25 now so it took me half an hour just to write this post. Good night, I guess.
I finally rewatched the first episode. And I must say I the camera work, acting, costumes were all top-notch in initial episodes. Kuhu and Kunal's entry was amazing. Ritvik looked sooo fine in his first scene. ( Somehow he reminds me the actors in Turkish series).
I noticed that Kaveri's acting has improved a lot compared to the first episode, especially her voice modulation is much better now.
Now that I have followed KuKu's story for a year, I felt kind of sad while watching the scene where Kuhu sees Kunal for the first time because now I know she will end up heartbroken after marrying Kunal.
I started liking KuKu from the first episode itself mostly because I liked the fact that Kuhu was not like typical ITV female characters who are shy around guys and hide their feelings. It was clear from the very beginning that she liked Kunal and she made no efforts to hide it. I love the scene where Kuhu gleefully says " Ussne mujhe dekha !!" 😆 I have lost the count of times I have watched that scene.
The first episode was well balanced between all the characters. The scenes of the four leads and the RV house scenes were flowing very well. Editing in current episodes is horrible and episodes seem choppy They should really hire back the same person for the job. 😊
But as Sam said, it was clear from the initial episodes itself that the writers wanted us to know which character was "right" and which ones were "wrong". 🤔 I still wonder why the writers put so much effort in giving layers to Kuhu's character when ultimately their plan was to show Kuhu as an immature and petty person. Does anyone else think that the makers had no idea that some viewers would end up liking KuKu as a couple?
@aqua: It might be the long separation from the actual show talking, but for some reason, I have a feeling that Kunal is going to stand by Kuhu this time. Maybe not in the way Abir stands by Mishti -- loud and aggressive -- but I wouldn't want that for him anyway. I think this might be why Kuhu's most horrible act, which is still hidden from Kunal, exactly mirrors his own worst act on Meenu's orders. I would love if the drink spiking is thrown in his face, and he completely surprises us with his reaction.
I think I see Kuhu's trajectory a little differently as well (and therein lies the fun, of course). Yes, she has been hurt by the fake marriage but she has also been happier than ever in her new family and discovered an inner strength she didn't know she had. I think she is prepared for the challenges life is throwing her way because she's learned how to make her own fairytales instead of expecting them to be handed to her.
I see where you are coming from about Parul's empowerment -- it may well be a weight off her shoulders to know she wasn't technically the other woman, but I still think it doesn't matter one way or another as long as long as Mehul wasn't supporting her. I'm half terrified to put this out there because it would be a horrible plot twist, but during the baba track, I worried that in order to undermine Meenu and Parul's relationship and make baba positive, they would show that Meenu misled Parul about Mehul's kartoots and then Mehul and Parul would reuinite and live happily ever after. 🤢 Very grateful they didn't go in that direction!
@Nikki: I wonder what you wonder about Kuhu's character all the time, especially when I keep trying and failing to quit the show. 😆 Why not make her outright unlikeable? But I guess our presence here is reason enough -- most of the audience find her unlikeable in any case, but as a bonus, they get weirdos like us hooked to the show and manage to keep us holding on to threads. It doesn't help that when they do focus on Kuku, however briefly, they give us something absolutely staggering (like humma humma!).

I think the makers knew what they were doing with Kunal and Kuhu, and their objective was to make them likeable on screen together from the beginning. This is why we saw such an emphasis on the contrast between their two characters and the whole allusion to the "opposites attract" trope. However, (and I wrote about this a while back, so forgive me if I'm being repetitive) the main problem with ITV is that they're writing the story as the show airs, and the fact that this is a show that airs 6 days a week now does not help. Instead of tying up unresolved plotlines and characterizations, they are tending to focus more on what will get them the most viewership. This is incredibly problematic for people who actually like real substance in the content they watch, especially because this method of storytelling almost always involves creating a "villain" out of a character for no tangible reason.
Sorry for intruding...don't mind me🤗
