So the scene where Kunal mentally apologises to Kuhu and decides to put Abir first is towards the end of episode 79. I don't think it's in the scene gallery. As usual, Ritvik and the directors do an awesome job fitting so much weight into a teeny tiny scene. Kunal sort of gives in to his emotions for a second before he straightens up and makes the decision to take care of business. 😭

There's also a scene where Meenu asks Kunal to swear on her that he doesn't love Kuhu, and he does, but the struggle is so well done! Then he asks Meenu to please never pose that question again, like he knows it's only going to get harder to run from the truth.

"Jab is ghar mein sach ki koi value hi nahi hai, to hum jhoot na bole to aur kya kare? Kunal ne aake sach kaha, kya hua? Usse insult karke vapas bhej diya gaya. Jo din meri life ka best day ho sakta tha, vo worst day ban gaya sirf sach ki vajah se. #Ihatesach"

- Kuhu Maheshwari, Episode 80

Kuhu calling out Maheshwari hypocrisy ❤️ I'm falling in love with her all over again.

I love that this dialogue could be about any number of incidents that have happened to her, the most important and recent being the divorce truth. Just drives home why she would be too scared to share the truth about the sleeping pill accident. Telling the truth has only ever led to disaster in her life.

Hmm wow, I don't remember this dialogue. But yes like you said it defines, why Kuhu has such a hard time telling the truth in certain situations because she is afraid of the outcome, based on her experiences.

Even I didn't remember it until just now! It's after Kunal, Abir, and Nanu come to ask for Kuhu's hand and Varsha and Shaurya and questioning whether Kuhu and Mishti knew that they were coming. When they say no, they didn't, Varsha says that Kuhu has told so many huge lies lately that she doesn't feel like believing her. This is how Kuhu responds.

Her ladkiyon ki azaadi dialogue to BP gets posted and recalled a lot, but she's actually had so many great ones! That's one thing that is consistent about her character -- whether it's kind or cruel, she has a way with words that get straight to the point and hit the target she's aiming for with unerring accuracy.

Small HC-

The current Kunal won't do this, but Kunal having FB of humma sequence will be so 😳.

Office Dilemma

Kunal was sitting in his office, reviewing a contract for any errors before he signed it off for his legal team. However, he was having a difficult time keeping his focus on what he was reading. He would read one line and find himself drift away to the images of Kuhu, from the prior night at the resort. The way she had walked out wearing his kurta, her curls perfectly twirled a mirror image of her naughty self. He was mesmerized the moment she had walked out, and her body had swayed a little, he felt his heart skip a beat, as she moved closer to him. Kunal shook his head, trying to shake the image. “Focus Kunal, Focus”. He says to himself and begins reading the contract again. Few seconds and a line later. He is going over his memory of them at the corridor, when Kuhu placed her leg block, him and how he had grabbed her by the collar pulling her towards him. He felt his cheeks heat up a little, when he thought about the moment when Kuhu had brushed her lips again his cheeks. He smiled shyly, as he remembered pulling the duvet over them.

“Kunal sir, Kunal sir, SIR?” A loud voice brought Kunal out of his thoughts. He looked up to find Uima Patel watching him curiously. “haan kya hua?” Kunal asked sitting up straight.

U: “Kuch nahi I came to take the contract file, apne sign kardia?”.

K:“Nahi abhi nahi, give me another hour”.

U: “Oh okay”. She watched him a little tensed, “Aap thik toh hai na sir?”

K: “Yeah why?”.

U: “aapka face, you cheeks are bit red and your forhead is a little sweaty”. Kunal touches his cheeks.

K: “haan maybe because garmi hai yahan”.

U: “But sir AC to on hai!”. Kunal finds himself a little embraced.

K: “I am fine Uima Patel, tum jao I will hand you the contract once I am done”. Uima patel leaves and Kunal bangs his head on the folder he was holding. Kuhu’s hotness had gotten to him and all he could think about was seeing her later in the evening and holding her in his arms.

Okay sorry to spam with running commentary, but everyone PLEASE watch the first five minutes of episode 81. It's a conversation between Kunal and Meenu and it sums up everything we've been talking about. And conflicted, three-piece-suit Kunal is seriously easy on the eyes.

@Ria: Haye! Shy Kunal being distracted by thoughts of wifey is everything! ☺️

I just read six pages worth of conversation on this AT, and I think I'm finally caught up.

I spent some time yesterday watching all of the KuKu scenes from past episodes (mostly ones post-marriage), and now have come back with renewed fury against how easily Kunal got off the hook for everything he did. The scene in which she is literally groveling to him and Meenakshi to marry her, to the point of getting down on her knees. The scene in which he threw the cake on the ground and insulted her, followed by her cleaning it up and trying to hide her tears from Abir. The scene in which he compared her to his project with the Shekhawats. The scene in which he slaps the divorce papers into her hands, leaving her unable to walk, unable to breathe. The scene in which he force-fed her the cake and smeared it all over her face. I could go on and on here. It may be easy to forget all of this in real life, seeing as all of this happened over a span of months, and not days, but if I were Kuhu, I know I'd never, EVER, forget.

From the stance of a young woman growing up in what appears to be a "changing society", it is stories like this that make me cringe. We never got to see even one clear apology from Kunal for all of these incidents. His "acceptance" of Kuhu right before their second marriage was assumed to be his silent "apology" for everything she went through. And that really irritates me. For months, Kunal was the monster of a husband in Kuhu's life. But all of a sudden, all is forgiven because he tied a kamarbandh around her waist, redid the same wedding rituals for a second time (this time with an apparently "genuine" mindset), and burned divorce papers with him saying, not asking, that "we will start afresh"; the very same divorce papers that he threw in her face not a few months back?

Had Kuhu been the villain of this story, we would have no doubt seen her begging for forgiveness until he so magnanimously forgives her, and then we would have seen her become the "ideal and devoted" wife. The only story in which I haven't seen the FL grovel for forgiveness is "Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka" (and I have completely separate complaints about how the plot of that show panned out LOL).

I feel like I've developed a horrible penchant for ruining the mood 😂. I just had to rant after going back and watching all of those scenes. Someone say something to prove me wrong so I don't feel too bad about saying all of this LOL.

I just finished watching the episode titled "Abir is heartbroken". Kunal defies her mother for the 1st time!! The look on Meenakshi's face was priceless! The only time I have probably seen a take charge Kunal. Okay, zyada bol gayi mai. He does not defy her but he actually shares his feelings. He puts himself first, well, kind of but he does put his own emotions and feelings at par with with maa and bhai and it's so satisfying to watch.

@Riya: The story is super cute!! Love it!! I want a distracted Kunal where the only thoughts occupying his head are related to Kuhu

@Meera: 💯🔥

Can I request an HC from you because you have the episodes fresh in your head and the rant clearly shows that?? I would love an HC where Kunal does something massively stupid like probably leaving something important like the gathbandhan again in her hands or says something to trigger her memories, she sees him gushing about his Bhai-bhabhi, as all the moments from the 1st wedding to present flash before her reminding her of the pain he gave her and how she will never be her priority, how he keeps insulting her and runs off leaving her alone whenever a family member comes along. And then we get a blow up moment like the #devaroftheyear confrontation right before she left the RV house. Would you write it pleeeeease????🥱

Lol, I wish I could, but I totally support your opinion. This is why I have such a hard time being easy on Kunal, because all of all the stunts he pulled with Kuhu, all the time he insulted her, made her cry and lets not forget the fact that he even planned out a case for his divorce with his lawyer if the families were to get involved. Kuhu had let him off super easy, any one of those moments is enough to piss off a girl and leave, but Kuhu didn't because of her love for her family and hope that Kunal might give their relationship a chance. Kunal so far has done nothing for Kuhu to redeem his actions.
