Hi Rohini and Nihara,

How are you? Has your area been affected by the virus? Nihara - will you been given the right protective clothing incase you come in contact with someone with virus? The UK is already running out and we have only just started.

The last few weeks have been hectic. Trying to sort out working from home and arranging to home school my eldest. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of the virus in our area and people have been panic buying like crazy, stripping the shelves bare. The UK government has been so slow to respond to the crisis. Our health service is already overwhelmed and we have only just begun the rapid increase part of it. We are on the same trajectory as Italy but have less ventilators and ICU beds. I dread to think where we will be in a few weeks. As a family taking all the necessary precautions but what will be, will be......

Feel like I have missed so much on the thread. Will try to run through it in the next few days (if I get time). Just wanted to quickly check in to see how you both were doing. Take care and stay safe.

Most of the IT companies have this work from home option...but not all companies have the infrastructure that allows ppl to work from home...like there are some folks in services sector of IT industry who work in a very security enabled environment. They are not allowed to carry their mobiles, laptops or any electronic devices inside those premises....so these ppl cannot really work from home....not every person working can work from home...so there are situations like that....

My company has allowed us to work from home until further notice....lets hope and pray that situation comes in control in the coming few weeks.....

You too take care and stay safe yaar🤗.. Cases are increasing each day at such high rate in India And it's not even a shock to me considering that there are still many who are not taking it seriously !

@bold

Then cool..

Regarding my brother, he has been working from home from 3-4 days... So it's good for him...

Hi wisal.. You too take care and stay safe..

Protective clothing toh pata nahi but I got enough protection on my way to home in the evening in the form of ppl standing in groups in front of their house apartments (including my apartment) on the roads clanging steel plates 🤦‍♀.. Social distancing thrown out of the window 🤦‍♀ I had no clue what the hell was happening, I was confused thinking whether it was kind of festival or ritual a week before Ugadi? Then my mom told it is PM's idea of showing appreciation to the health care staff, army and other working staff fighting the virus 🤦‍♀.. Instead of doing what is need to be done, PM is doing chindi things and make ppl do chindi things too🤦‍♀...

My dad was watching news, I got to watch few mins of it in the passing .. I saw the same clanging plates standing in groups happening in other big cities like Delhi, ahmedabad too 🤦‍♀.. Some ppl are still supporting him saying that he said to do it in balconies but ppl are doing it in groups.. What's the difference anyway If he is not taking the issue seriously and not doing what's needs to be done at this need of the hour 🤦‍♀.. I better not to open my mouth further about him here otherwise I end up posting a big rant on this loser and my account will likely get blocked if his bhakths see this 🤔

Phew at least I have someone who feels the same away about the clanging plates. They are doing something similar to this in the UK where they are asking people to clap for those who are caring for us. Its ridiculous!! There is a time to do this and right now is not it. Honestly which exhausted person working in the health service cares about the clapping and the clanging. They are either too busy inside a hospital or too tired at home to care for this. If we want to do something for them, stay at home and stop spreading the virus. Make your voices heard by pushing your respective governments to get the staff protective clothing, do more tests, stop flights and lockdown the whole country. In the UK people are all flocking to the beaches or going down busy walking trails and not practicsing social distancing. Humans can be breathtakingly selfish! Feel so bad for our emergency service workers. They are literally sitting ducks. The only reason they carry on working is because they care. Anyway like you I could rant about this all day.

Take care and if you have time do keep posting intermittently so we know you are ok.

😆 Sorry to interrupt but this is extremely silly. Why india has to copy everything to be cool. This was not needed at all. The situation in Italy or Spain was way different. Yeh copy copy ke chakkar main things will get worse and the funny part is everyone thinking they are being cool but in reality everyone including celebs being stupid just to please the PM
