We need to have the same scale to judge two characters . If we can call out one character as egoistic and mean then the other needs to be called as well . You cannot hate one character for their negative points and praise other character whitewashing their negatives

I am the one who likes flawed leads but the only issue with ITV is leads flaws are not called out and are justified

I hate the fact that my first post on this forum is in this war zone. I have been a silent reader here since the beginning of the show; from the first episode itself, to be precise. But I never posted anything before owing to my hectic schedule. Neither did I praise any character nor did I denigrate anyone. Nonetheless since I am free right now because of the current situation worldwide, I went through almost all posts. And I just can't contain my frustration anymore.

Let me clear it out beforehand that I'm a MishBir fan. I absolutely adore both Abir & Mishti individually as well as a couple. I like Kunal and I did like Kuhu too at some point of time. But my love for a character doesn't blind me towards their flaws; even if it is my favourites.

Now I can either write an essay supporting and justifying Mishti's actions or point out the fault in Kuhu's behaviour. But I don't think that it would make any difference. When people are downright unwilling to listen to someone else POV other than their own (just like Abir in the show currently ), it is pointless to talk to them. It would just be a waste of my time and energy.

But still I want to ask a question. When Mishti reacts to any unfair action of other characters, she is termed as egoistic or selfish. And when she doesn't react or tries to keep her calm in adverse situations, she is termed as self-righteous or 'Mahaan'. So what is she exactly supposed to do in such situations according to her critics? I'm genuinely unable to comprehend the double standards for this character. Can someone kindly enlighten me regarding the same?

It makes me think more than doing the right think now it has become a ego issue for Mishti . She just wants to hurt Kuhu to get even . It’s definitely doesn’t do any good to the family or Kuhu if it’s brought out at this stage . Do you think if family knows Kuhu’s bitterness towards Mishti will reduce or the problem will be solved . This is what Abir is trying to tell Mishti which she is overlooking because of her ego .

Does Mishti ever realize that the whole wedding mantap drama happened because of her “I am the only one who can fix it “ attitude . If she hadn’t invaded Kuhu’s privacy then she would not have instigated Kuhu . It’s high time both sisters realize their petty fights will spoil the brothers relationship and Meenakshi will be proved right .

B: you mean to say that since first mishti thought she will not out kuhu’s actions now she can’t change her mind when she feels this behavior of kuhu is gonna go from bad to worse if the is shielded ??

Then as per you, all those victims of abuse who decide to come out after many years are also wrong as they decided to keep quiet when they were wronged???

And for your kind information kuhu has not completely been honest with abir.. did she say that those pills were for mishti ?? Did she say that she actively tried to blame Parul?? Then that means she is not truly sorry

If Mishti still doesn't want to let the matter go because she wants the whole family to learn the truth then am not really getting the logic here for wanting so. It only conveys that Mishti wants to see Kuhu getting berated coz that would in some ways satisfy her ego or make her feel superior.

I liked how Abir was understanding towards Kuhu. He handled the situation well without letting it slip out of hands but he was being a tad too impatient in not hearing out what Mishti had to say. It would be good if they have a conversation like the one they had post their first fight after marriage..and I sure hope Abir would patiently make Mishti understand that why is he adopting such a approach. I dislike how Mishti was adamant about seeing Kuhu getting punished but everyone deserves to get their feelings acknowledged/addressed instead of constantly seeing the one person they are counting on the most to act as being dismissive. For all the tall promises made Abir can atleast listen to his wife even if he doesn't agree with her.

@ bold When kuhu can see her real MIL (oops my bad, she considers her as a servant right) getting berated when she is not at fault. Then there is nothing wrong, if Mishti wants to see kuhu berated....by doing so if Mishti would be named egoistic so be it...

Can we stop overreacting first this is a serial for gods sake and even if it’s an abuse it’s against Abir .Let Abir decide what he want . Mishti decided to hide this from Abir when he had all the rights to know this .Why don’t we first talk about this before pointing fingers at others .Protecting the offender (even for few days) is a crime too .Lets call that out too or are we too biased to do that .

When Abir decided to forgive her best friend who tried to kill him ( purposely ) she was ok with it and she doesn’t hold any grudges but now if Abir wants to let go off this incident for his family peace her ego is not allowing .

Yep, agree with AbiNal Relationship - mentioned it in few of my threads, can't recall which one but if you are interested just look them up. I don't think it will be destroyed but certainly things will be questioned, bad feelings will enter before they come back together stronger than before.

Like I said so many times before...this show does mirroring really well...of relationships, opposite and of lives...😊

@ blue But does it mean you can name call the one you loved once and hurt them physically and mentally.

@red No comments these two are going to burn the bridge between their wives and their family by their own hands...Anyways, even in real life that is what most of the Men do.

@bold I second you in this...

If they want to show the reality then let kuhu serve her KARMA, a punishment given by the universe. She thinks no is watching her right, so by receiving a poetic justice she will be made to realize her mistakes (galti se or not galti se) and sins (trying to harm someone is a sin not a mistake)

I kind of convinced myself when they gave a free pass for Nishant because he is a mental health patient...He is not a friend he is betrayer...he would have almost killed Abir...Somewhat his poetic justice was served, he lost such a selfless friend...he will be a loner for all his life...

@blue you must call out the post maker on this... not the person who shares their views/ thoughts about the post..

@bold Nope, she wasn't okay with it...That is why she called him Nishant and not Nannu...That is a subtle opposition towards his actions. MishBir let them go because he is a mental health patient. If he was called out in front of the family it might revert him to his addictions.

It’s not the TM maker but the person who responded to my post who overreacted .

I dont think she called him Nishant because of that .She hugged him before he left and recently she was referring Nishant as her best friend .She doesn’t hold any grudges against him .

So what if he is a mental health patient .Are they allowed to kill people , manipulate people and abuse them .The real reason is Mishti considers Nannu as her friend so she is ready to forget and move on and not make it a big issue even if he tried to kill her husband. With Kuhu she has to settle scores so she is bringing this topic again and again and as always everything Mishti does is justified and regarded as morally correct
