Wow. Not expecting this. A very well made short film and heart wrenching.

Umm so there's a new accusation that the whole idea/theme of Devi is plagiarized from this short film called 'Four' released a year ago. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Looks very similar. Obviously Devi is more nuanced and strong due to professionals making the film but the whole idea looks the same. Don't know what to think about it 🙄

Definitely looks plagiarized. And you are right, Devi looks like a better made film whereas Four looks like a student film, for lack of a better phrasing here. But that’s irrelevant really. The powerful gut punch message came from Four first. Still, I hope the issue is resolved quickly because I hate for legal drama to overshadow the film(s).

The theme is definitely plagiarized. It's very in your face too while Devi is nuanced. Professionals vs Amateurs as you said.

The last scene... Something I was afraid of Devi having in the first place.

I hate this though. Hope this doesn't mar the effect of the movies.

Recovering from sexual assault takes time, and the healing process can be painful. You can't even heal after your death, that is the level of trauma the rape gives to a woman, this short film said it in such an effective way that as many of you mentioned, it is heart wrenching and haunting.

But you can regain your sense of control, rebuild your self-worth, and learn to heal if you rest for a while under the safest wing. That every woman has to realize. Regardless of age or religion, the impact of sexual violence goes far beyond any physical injuries. The trauma of being raped or sexually assaulted can be shattering, leaving you feeling scared, ashamed, and alone or plagued by nightmares, flashbacks, and other unpleasant memories. The world doesn’t feel like a safe place anymore. You no longer trust others. You don’t even trust yourself. You may question your judgment, your self-worth, and even your sanity. You may blame yourself for what happened or believe that you’re “dirty” or “damaged goods.” Relationships feel dangerous, intimacy is impossible.

Many sentiments and sensitivities expressed by the characters in this film reflected the same feelings.

With simple dialogues, they conveyed effective messages, which hit you hard and will be there in your mind for long.

I feel, we need such movies more and more to bring awareness in the society.

Look at how uncomfortable Niranjan is at the plagiarism question. He and Kajol just laughs it off. How typically Bollywood.
