Is this a forshadow, maybe, that when Kunal's birth truth is revealed to the Mah's Kuhu will support or stand up for Parul? Or could it be the opposite? There will come a situation where Kuhu needs to speak up to defend Parul, she tells herself she should but doesn't, again?

I feel it's going to be the Maheshwaris finding out and then Jasmeet will become all judgemental. She will say all sorts of things and that is the moment when Kuhu will defend Parul.

🤗Hi Aqua, the link brought me here..?

One thing, don't worry too much about the parent show. Both Kuhu's and M's (am I allowed to mention her here?😆) background has been changed so much that you might as well just make things up. Kuhu, as far as I can recall was happy and so was Mi who's mother was with her until they suddenly disappared from the parent show. To turn up here with a totally different background!😊😆

This background given to both girls is to explain them here in the show. @ red, I think you hit it on the head with that one. See, both girls are essentially abandoned. Kuhu came first, got used to all the love and being the focus of the attention. Then M came and of course as natural everyone would want her to be welcomes. I guess the creators want to tell us that Kuhu wasn't settled, maybe deep down she was still scared and upset...and before she could feel secure M came and K never felt secure again after that. That really set the patterns of their lives. K scared but cannot express and Mi comes and somehow everyone is focusd on her. I think it is important to distinguish that this is what K believes but it is not the real truth. People who suffer some trauma, get hooked on that and over the years they interpret situation to take them back to that trauma....imagine a 5 yr old lost in a shopping centre, cries her heart out for her parents, get scared and thinks she has been abandoned, forgotten. Then her parents come, lots of hugs and kisses and she is happy again. Fast forward few years...group of friends go out for dinner and K only learns of it later, in her mind she will feel abandoned, sad that they forgot her...to her it will become big, she will say to her friends 'hey you forgot me'...or maybe her mum and sister go shopping, spur of the moment thing but when she learns of it she will be 'they forgot me' and will think of other incident where they did something together without her....what she is doing, not even realising honestly, is applying her trauma of being lost in the shopping centre (feeling scared, alone and abandoned) and letting those emotions colour her present even if it is not the same. She will not be objective because she cannot, that old feeling is too strong. Until she learns how to handle that, for her there will be lot of triggers.

Thanks @Dreamy for sharing your POV on my theory. I had not thought of the MishKu story this way. It feels like you've taken me under your wing as a student☺️ and I can't say I have anything to complain about. You, Sam and the loads of other members on this forum that take the effort of seeing the story are unintentionally contributing to my growth.😛

Never in my wildest imaginations had I thought that I would learn the nuances of storytelling and writing and how to see a story through different perspectives through an ITV show, let alone on IF🙈.

This show has gotten very predictable for me, so I'm going to say it could be one of two things, or both, actually.

1. Kuhu does defend Parul when it matters (I will throw a party on the AT if this happens)

2. Kuhu throws Parul under the bus and Abir's words to Parul about not hiding other people's mistakes echoes in the backgroud. Parul stands up for herself with the leads' support.

It's probably the second one (at least at first), because there is absolutely no way they are going to let Abir just be right and not have to "learn a lesson" about how he should have listened to Mishti on how to handle Kuhu. Mishti will reveal the sleeping-pill truth "galti se" and Kuhu will be damned further. Then later, after she's been manipulated, teamed up with Meenu and gotten the rotten end of the deal, Kuhu will reclaim Parul and Parul will say, see? I knew you would stick up for me when it really mattered.

What I am hoping to see in some small form is that Parul doesn't abandon Kuhu and instead follows through on the promise of sticking by her and parenting her properly.

@bold: It's highly likely. But Kuhu has listened to Abir in the past so I'm thinking his words could have some sort of an impact.

Don't think Nikki.. It IS Abir's idea for sure. Kunal itna bhi mature nahi ban gaya ki ye sab kare. I really hope Jas mistreats Maasi to an extent which irks Kunal and uske andar ka maa vaala pyaar bahar aa jaaye sach ke saath 😳

*high expectations*

Good Tv can teach you a lot. I'll share a secret😉. In my early years of learning story structure I watched a lot of good shows to see how the theory was applied in practice. I am a visual learner so those shows helped cement my understanding. Have you watched the vampire diaries? brilliantly structured, character growth so believable and the conflicts mindblowing, often spanning series!

Love the anology. The hospital scene where Kuhu wakes up and doesn't find Kunal around her and just then BP calls not knowing of her situation asks about Mishti is one such scene which matches what you said. At the point Kuhu was already in a vulnerable state and with Kunal abandoning her, BP and others not enquiring about her (all this unintentional but she is unaware) she felt she was not needed.

I think it will just be another negative for Kuhu where she wouldn't stand by maasi when needed and that will open Abir's eyes and then he'll break his bro bond.

Yeah, that scene as heartbreaking and combined with the bekhudi song was very, very nicely done.... So it would be understandable if she became angry and then took it out on Mishti in that moment or immediately after as we are shown the links. Kuhu finds it difficult to express her own needs so that frustration spills out wrongly.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I don't think Kuhu ever listened to Abir in that sense. What she loves about him is that he hears her out and doesn't judge her for her apparent shortcomings, whether it was continuing to love Kunal despite his indifference or being too afraid to tell her family the truth and holding out hope that Kunal would come around. Abir was the only person who gave her space to feel what she felt but ALSO respected her decisions about how she wanted to move forward.

He sees her the way she wants to be seen, as an adult who is has her flaws but is also sensitive and talented and capable of handling her life her way. And Kuhu provides the same safe space for Abir -- that is the strength of their relationship, on which they can call each other out and show each other the right path -- because they know it's coming with the understanding that, I am not judging you as a person based on this action, but I am calling this action out as wrong.

So yes, Abir's words will have an impact, but it won't be a match for Meenu's concerted efforts and Jasmeet vocalising Kuhu's worst fears, unless she receives an equally constant stream of validation. Like I said, Kuhu responds instinctively to her immediate surroundings -- the more hostile they are, the more she struggles to keep the spark of positivity alive.
