Rishabh Bajaj is what Prerna needs where as Anurag Basu is what Prerna desires., and coming from her mouth, we dont need what we desire..

And you're right. From the very moment Rishabh Bajaj entered her life he's the only one asking her : Are you okay? And actually listening to her.

It doesn't matter whether he's her husband or ex husband, he's the only one who's willing to do the distance for her as PER HER WISHES. The most important bit.

This reason is why bajaj and prerish was so popular in season 1. Bajaj is classy, calm, handsome, charming, smart and in control. Bajaj has the whole world of woman at his knees. He can have any woman he wants and yet fate unfortunately led him to Prerna. Bajaj destiny has now become entwined with prerna. He will go to the extreme for her as he will with kuki. He will never make no harm come to her. The one thing I love is how bajaj gives prerna the freedom to make her own choices. He doesn't pressure her. Their marriage was a choice for her to make. Becoming a businesswoman was a choice he allowed her to make. Not consummating their marriage and moving forward again her choice. Her going to take revenge is her choice. RB is a gem of a person inspite of his grey black or whatever qualities.

A REAL MAN IS ONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO RESPECT A WOMAN. A REAL MAN NEVER HURTS A WOMAN. A REAL MAN KNOWS HOW TO KEEP HIS WOMAN. PERIOD.

Trust. Respect. Demand.

P never got this in her entire life until she met RB. And its continuing.

P who hated RB in the beginning to MU him for everything in Swiss, now to agree to stay with him.

It was for her selfish reason revenge, still this is a big thing indeed. It has not come tht easily as we know she is one nut to crack to understand any one quality of others apart from being in her la la land (till ths leap). He has earned the trust with his qualities as a husband / ex-husband or say as a man.

Asking him to make her strong, make her this blah blah as she knows who else is best than the business shark and who will give her more than she ever asks or wants. Let it be personally & professionally. And this belief of hers has been created by him.

I'd say she n her few notable actions post leap are just a result of his good qualities n mentor sessions. The confidence she has today in professional life has come from him (personal, have to see how its gonna be). She may not agree though n it doesnt matter to him as well.

Responsibility.

For him, she is his responsibility from the day she agreed for the deal. He is fulfilling the duty as her protector till date n will continue with / without her knowledge. He doesnt expect anything in return, all he wants is her to be safe and never hurt by anyone or any ****ing reason. He will destroy them even if have such thoughts let alone anyone hurts her.

Had he been in a similar situation like you'd written in last para, he wud have burned the world for her while keeping her in a secured place! Thats him. RB, the real man, a knight in shining armour of Prerna!

The extent and lengths he would go if anyone ever hurt her or even thinks of hurting her. She's got a protector for life in him. As long as Bajaj lives, Prerna would always be safe.

And please,let's all be emotional about him. He deserves that. Regardless of whatever they do with him with the future and how this serial ends, the ultimate truth will always be that noone has ever loved, respected and supported Prerna like Rishabh did. Whether this Prerna will ever wake up to that fact is a question mark but it won't change the truth.

First of all, let me tell you @allthatcritique that your post is really a gem!

A classic example of a character character analysis as well as deep rooted insight into Rishabh Bajaj. All the replies and following posts after this are equally wonderful. A big round of applause to everyone who contributed to this thread.

I would like to add my bits here. Rishabh Bajaj as a character was introduced with its magnanimous approach and till date he lives up to it. He was a man of few words and still is. Whether a Sharp Mentor or a ruthless businessman, whether a doting father or an honourable husband, whether his grey shades of manipulating a woman into marriage or trying to usurp the properties of his business rival, all these character traits have a hint of Larger-than-life persona. That’s how his presence and absence has been defined in the show till now. He is still the talk of the town despite his absence most of the time. He is the much required momentum in an otherwise repetition of tracks. Coming to respect and honour, isn’t he always like this? He has been extremely protective About his daughter and the moment he saw Prerna as the mother of cookie he bestowed the same respect to her. Whether using her favourite colour as her wedding outfit, or marrying her with every possible ritual, he gave her a respect. There is no denial about how brutally he crushed her hopes when he married her forcibly or deal marriage as they would like to call it. But, he emerged as the quintessential brooding man, so dark yet promising a hope to his ladylove. As I have always maintained, his character has been an enigma, unpredictable and walks on the thin lines of greys, whites and blacks. I may not say that he is the best man for Prerana but he is definitely a man that I root for. Because no matter what he does, Prerna shall always be safe with him. He is giving when it comes to her and she will always be so. He evokes a certain pathos when you get to see that though taking charge of the entire world, he still is a lone wolf. Mostly confined to his thoughts alone, difficult to read! And, again a man of promises that he delivers. It’s his story I am looking forward to. Somehow, I can always imagine him sitting in one corner as a lone wolf and smoking his cigar while drinking his whiskey. That man is committed- He is loyal-He is devoted-He is devious-He is challenging- He Is plotting-He is nowhere yet he is everywhere. 99% of the people do not know the real Rishabh Bajaj, I hope one day Prerana becomes that one percent who know him.

He is the epitome of My Prince Charming ❤️
