My issue with Maya

Ok this is not a bash post or anything.. just a little of my view on the character of Maya this season..

First of all Jeni is a great actress and no matter how many layers u give to this character she will seamlessly deliver it.. but why do a character require OTT number of layers..

Revengeful Maya hateful Maya I like.. that was the premise of the show.. her being a dark person who wore nothing but black.. someone who was wronged and wanted to revenge that out in the worst way possible.. well no issues on that...even as a revenge filled woman still she had her love for her mom in place ,she had her guilt and conscience in place even when she decided to kill an innocent to revenge..

The one who fell in love and married Rudra was completely another side to her.. her being protective of Rudra due to her past with MJ also made sense

But for me what I cant connect to is that the Maya whom Rudra brought light in her life and colours is all mere surface only.. she is still trying to kill off someone who decides to bring truth to Rudra.. wether its Ananya or aditya.. they did nothing wrong to u ever.. they are doing the right thing for Rudra and he has the right to know... dont u think Rudra is in the same place as Maya 10 years ago losing the one he loved.. and she decides to kill more ppl he loves to prove her love 🤪... what makes her any different from MJ then.. atleast antara knows whatever rubbish he does wether she likes or not..

For me mayas change in colour had to be change of her as a person too... or it makes no sense.. she can get her justice for her wrong from all those ppl who were her culprits of the past which is fine..

They have put her character parallel to Maa durga and giving her shades which doesnt resonate with ur mere base.. atleast with Mj and Rudra they have been very clear in portraying them and they make sense in their layers..

Obsessive behavior cant compartmentalize right or wrong...

People who suffer from this sort of a disorder live in extremes....

Maya belongs to such a cult...

When she was on her path for revenge she saw no reasoning to it...

Played with the Roy brothers minds.. killed Rishi ,

attacked Rajeev,used her Mum...

And now when love came in,she is so hinged to Rudra that she sees no reasoning there too...

She is ready to silence any and everyone who can be a threat to her perfect world of love...

Aditya and to the minutest extent Ananya whom I hate to admit are the voice of reasoning..

Maya fears that the day her kali kartoot will see light ,the light of her life will burn her alive...

She has seen and felt love for the first time in her life and thus the thought of loosing it kicks on her madness...

But I guess she hasn't gauged Rudra well as yet... Jaana hai pehchaana nahi....

She will have to face Rudra as that is her karma...

AND no amount of justification is going to clean her hands off that innocents's blood...

I actually found Maya killing Rishi and her psycho avatar everytime she sees anyone as threat to MayRa so off-putting. I like her protectiveness but the passion and honesty is completely lacking.

I love the way Jen plays MJS but for me MM as a character was bolder, sexier, edgier, and an intense lover besides the psychoness.

I am eagerly waiting for the past to be revealed to Rudra so he can join this game being played by MJ and Maya.

I agree.. I dont see why Rudra will forgo what she did.. because he is exactly where Maya was once in his life.. and she knows that.. but she is showing all this changes and love with a huge baggage of lies and deceit behind it..

The more madness the more u will end up messing up ur own love that u found.. Rudra has a very hard time ahead of a lot of truth..

But what puts me off is Maya finding love and changing has to be change of her conscience and become a better person.. love makes u a better person..what she has already done is done she cant change it.. but why do more mess..

Mixing MAya jaisingh and mehrotra will make it messy that's what I feel...

MM has a reason to how she was.. but MJS is not MM and they made her character carrying more conscience and heart than MM..but suddenly she flips into different personalities which makes me wonder if her so called love is only filled with dishonesty and lies.. the flash back Manvi is actually nowhere in present time.. she is long lost..

Yes exactly..the only criminal so far got targeted is diya..

But why did the makers take such a way I am yet to decipher.. they would have had a clean story with romance and revenge both well maintained.. the rishi part just dint fit the bill to be honest..

It can potentially make Rudra also dark or make him grey.. which will make it more messy ruining the beautiful love story as well..

For now Maya should not kill anyone at least the innocent or the people loved by Rudra.. her revenge may just kill mj's son both Rishi and Rudra just to give him the pain of losing the child but before that she should punish the culprits if they went by that way story may make more sense then Rishi also be there

mera toh issues hi issues hai maya ko leke. I found her character weak and feeble. 🤓 She failed to impress me. She has already done a blunder by killing rishi and can kill anyone who comes between her and rudra. Now she is eyeing on aditya, he being an investigating journalist might come to know about maya and rishi's relationship. he is acting naive and friendly with maya made me suspicious. I think he is doing this purposely. If maya kills him as well, i would have just lost thodi bahot sympathy for her. That will add one more to her sin bucket list. Aditya is doing this to protect rudra. He has already lost rishi and aditya is also close to rudra. I don't think jo thodi bahot umeed hogi maya ki help karni ki, woh bhi nhi karne wala rudra, he will go all negative towards maya. That will make the story even worse. 😡

Actually aditya is not a completely fishy character...investigative journalist are ones who not only investigate but he can also reason out.. unlike Ananya he doesbt have any selfish agenda.. he will become a truth bearer for both sides of the story..

But my only thing is that dont make Maya capable of everything..if she is a psycho ok then keep her that... dont tell her she is a psycho who has high conscience which I cant digest.
