Although I agree - but K3G and DTPH are iconic films. Those were bound to win. Not saying that justifies the win.... but to me it’s something.

Gully Boy is nor iconic nor was Alia’s performance any good.

We must have different definitions for iconic. K3G I’ll give you cause nostalgia wise I still enjoy despite some cringe moments and a weak storyline. DTPH in 2020 has nothing good about it other than a great soundtrack. Infact I don’t think I ever finished watching the film. It was very popular and and got hyped. Similarly Gully Boy was very popular.

K3G and DTPH are iconic films. People still watch and enjoy them today. That’s not gonna change if 5% of people don’t like them.

Maybe you didn’t watch it when the films were released, you had to be apart of the hype at that time to get it

I was younger during DTPH. I was pretty aware for K3g but beyond hype like I said as movies K3g is passable and DTPH really isn’t. But id say pure popularity wise Gully Boy is top 3 of 2019 with War and Kabir Singh as well known films

But hey we stand on different sides. You think GB burned down creditability of award show. Conversely think DTPH was one of the films that lit that match along time ago.
