This year, Parineeti has 2 big releases, which can put her right back in the big league. Taapsee had Thappad, Kangana has 2-3 big releases, Jhanvi the same. Anyone can oust her as an actress in terms of talent, I dont deny that for one minute. in terms of TALENT, she has someone better than her every year be it regional or among contemporaries. She missed out on a National award for a patriotic film like raazi because someone was better than her period.

However, in terms of BO success, that is a different story. BW measures success on BO numbers. If her films are clicking with the audience more than others...she will be touted as the best. Is she the best actress, no fricken way. Her film opportunties/content of her films are superlative though. so I predict as long as her films are superior, so is her success level

Is alia? no she is not.

KJO though handing her awards for what she doesnt deserve does make me question whether her early films she's done were given that way too, no? not think, it probably was. but no she cant directly make someone else unsuccessful. She can snatch their limelight tho in regards to awards. There is actual proof for that.

Alia winning best actress for gully boy is hardly the worst best actress decision in history.

As for whether she won to keep her name in the news who knows. I mean Tapsee just gave a hit so it’s not like other girls are stopped from being successful.

Kajol for k3g compared to Karishma in Zubeida or Tabu in Chandini Bar. An mind I couldn’t care less about but I acknowledge that it’s very unfair. I love Madhuri Dixit and her win for HAHK is stupid when that same year in Anjaam she did better. An her award for dancing around in Dil toh pagel hai is ridiculous compared to Sridevi in Judaai or even debutant Mahima in pardes

its not the worst. but she got it based on privelege. she did not deserve that award. if this happened with an award, it is not surprising her film opportunties to be given in the form of privelege as well. No other actress would get best actress for a supporting role. thats the point im making. that moment was snatched from someone better than her this year. SO, by her accepting an award to even keep her name in the news or whatever...at the end of day..she is snatching someone else's opportunity to also keep their name in the news and stay in the limelight on the basis of awards.

Although I agree - but K3G and DTPH are iconic films. Those were bound to win. Not saying that justifies the win.... but to me it’s something.

Gully Boy is nor iconic nor was Alia’s performance any good.
