My first inclination that Sid and Shehnaaz are more than friends came when I saw that USUD scene where both are lying down on the garden sofa. Sid calls Shehnaaz "Bhelpuri" in that. It is an oddly prophetic conversation. It sort of lays down the foundation of how they will behave from there on. This conversation is the blue print for all the questions important in a relationship. If there is a fight, how will it get resolved? What does commitment mean to each of them? How much resilience and patience do each of them have? How much effort to make in relationship? What to do when one side hurts the other?
But the worrying part for me was also the last bit of conversation where they discuss what will happen if one side wants out. In those 5 minutes they had figured out what are the boundaries in their relationship.
