Trying to pass off bad films as good films just because they deal with certain issues is being dishonest.

We are not watching a TV serial on a sensitive issue where we can ignore a rank bad episode just because it deals with an issue.

When people Shell out 500, 1000, 2000 rupees they need to see something good. Good films have been made on sensitive issues.

Oh , the sense of self-entitlement some people have.

I want Thappad to be a HIT, mainly because the subject is relevant and Taapsee though irritating at times is better than most of the star kids. BOI is very biased to Khans and to Macho actors and they literally worship star kids especially KJO backed star kids.

Er... Thappad has been judged very well made by most reviewers. 😆 The reason BoI doesn't like it and the reason mango men won't watch is the same: they don't like to lose the entitlement common to most knuckle-draggers.

The entitlement YOU speak of? I believe it's called the right to be treated as humans.

BOI is a pure trade website. They absolutely despise content-driven cinema, or movies that do not follow the generic Bollywood blockbuster template. As a professional site, it's alarming how repulsive some of their articles are, especially the ones directed towards Imtiaz, Anurag, Zoya, etc. They have no understanding of cinema as an art and expression. Sure, you can't expect them to, but, they could at least maintain a degree of professionalism in their articles.

From their love for certain stars and certain types of content to their crude criticism of cinema they don't seem to understand, the website is such a poor reflection of Bollywood business and analysis.

It would be great but would need to be readapted into modern times.

Does everyone have to adapt to modern times or just boi cause Zoya making comments that certain films shouldn’t have been made and are getting sequels uncalled for as well

Of course it might be another Article 15, which was so hard hitting that people didn't go to the theater to watch it, but watched it on TV or online.

Article15 was a successful film at boxoffice.

It’s need to change because audience taste is gradually shift. Khans are no longer the biggest money makers in BO and movies like Badhaai Ho are doing well now . If they can’t adapt to modern times then they shouldn’t be calling themselves a BO site.

But people are saying BOI is bad cause it’s saying a film like Thappad can’t be a hit. But the numbers are proving true 😊 no ?
