I think it was both ways he was getting affected .. his mood was off .. he was fighting with her during salman conversation with asim.. his concentration was totally off .. he fought with her during the cigarette break .. then sana helped him by not fighting with him during breaking Vishal photo .. he did not want to break his silly team ka pic .. did they all give him a chunk of prize money for coming 5,6,7

he won the elite group task by saying a speech on flipper .. which sana supported .. uske bad bhi sana was not back to him .. it was just not the caller .. he could not stand sana being away from him any more ..he was miserable

Of course he was affected.. he always got affected when he fought with Sana

He got the topic of flipper by Salman.. Sana had nothing to do with him..and despite being hurt by Sana's flipping, he actually proved that he understood Sana's flipping more than anyone else
