Because they have no legal rights but they think creating a public trial will get people outraged on Anil's behalf and demand that he be included. But the problem with this whole side of the Kapoor family is that they are too self-important and don't know where they stand. None of them have the kind of fan base that people will be outraged on their behalf. If SRK or Salman got upset with one of their classics being remade without their involvement, it would work because their fans would go nuts. But Anil and his kids? Nah, nobody cares.

Honestly, it looks pathetic on Anil's behalf that he's letting his daughter and wife fight on his behalf. Be brave and talk about your disappointment yourself if you're unhappy. Why is Sonam fighting with her uncle? Looks really weird!

Also Ali tweeted this news on 17th Feb, Shekhar reacted right away. It was all over news. And Sonam decided to react today after so many days. Pretty much looks like a famiy feud than anything else. Like one of the articles mentioned, just have a dining table conversation instead of ranting online.

It might be that they did try to talk it out beforehand (between the tweet and her publication) and being met with a wall Sonam being very vocal about her thoughts and feelings wrote about on her social media.

But Sonam is saying they had no idea about a Mr. India remake until AAZ tweeted about it. It's a complete lie because Boney was talking publicly about it for a year already. If Boney's interviews have been published in newspapers, how could they not know about it? They were not blindsided like Sonam is pretending.

In Boney's earlier interview, he claims that anyone that participated in the old film can work on the new one if they want. That's why the Kapoor family is mad because casting talks have started happening and they are not being included or getting roles like they thought they would.

No one likes to see a close one being belittled and humiliated -it might not seem humiliating and hurtful to you but maybe Anil is hurt.

I don't think it's weird for her to take a stand for her father while he's choosing not to talk about it on SM. They don't have the same personality.

Anil has never been vocal about his spats or disappointments. Even when Sonam had her spat with Ranbir, he didn't issue a statement while Rishi did.

Also, Sonam talked and the others members of the reposted to show support maybe and because they agree with her.

It's possible that being Ali's tweet and Sonam's statement, they tried talking it out and were met with a wall.

We might know more about all this later on or maybe we'll never know what happened.

If Boney has really a hand in it, then he's a disgusting person because two weeks ago the whole family met up to unveil the Chowk named after Surinder Kapoor -their father.

His project one year ago was just that a project something that wasn't materialised and which seem more like a which.

In one year, he had time to struck a deal and change his mind about how it would all happen.

Bottom line, Anil wasn't informed about the project as it is now.

Also, Anil has scripts raining on him so it's not the lack of work that's hurting but that he wasn't made aware that his cult movie was being remade. Picking up one's phone isn't that difficult to prevent hurting their feeling.
