She claims Boney's PR put out this article. The interesting part is that the article gives quotes from almost a year ago that Boney had made about the Mr. India reboot so Anil could not have possibly been unaware like Sonam is saying.

In May 2019, Boney Kapoor had already revealed that he's working on a 'Mr. India' sequel. In an interview with Midday, he had said, "The idea is to create a reboot first, and then, make a franchise of it. It needs to be made more contemporary. We have a basic structure in mind. We haven't decided on a timeline yet, but intend to make it soon."

The producer had also revealed that he is happy to take Shekhar on board. Speaking about the director, Boney said, "If Shekhar is free, he can direct it. The cast and crew made the film what it was, and if anyone from the original line-up wants to be part of it, they can join us again."

What I think happened is that neither Shekhar got to direct the film like Boney said nor Anil and his kids got to act in it. Earlier Boney seemed to be saying they could be involved if they wanted so now they're angry.

A studio like will not finance a big budget movie without saleable faces... they already got burned by casting Arjun in a big budget historical. So even if Boney's original plan to get Shekhar, Anil and his kids onboard if they wanted he might not have been able to get Zee to finance the movie with them.

Shekhar Kapur, Anil Harsh Sonam are not big box office draws...AAZ is young and popular director who has proved that he can write direct and execute big budget commercial mainstream movies. Shekhar is a has been in both BW and HW who is infamously known as a director who can never complete a movie even Paani got shelved by YRF. He has not directed a movie in ages he got a reputation of being difficult if I'm not mistaken. If the rumours are true two big A-list bankable actors are coming on board for the reboot why would Zee agree to give the part to Sonam, Harsh or Anil. Casting Jaanu can be used for promo purposes they will want to cash on Sri nostalgia and entice her fans to support the movie so even Sonam is out.

No. Sonam who wrote a whole piece about how we should always come forward and believe women in MeToo cases is not allowed to pick and choose as per her own convenience and what she gains from that person.😆 LOL. This is entertainment business. Treat it as a business and you will be fine. Morals or feelings or emotions will only get in your way 😆😆

Then again the lead of the film was your little brother so maybe a simple "hey im doing this" couldnt have hurt.

When you feel hurt because of such things. There is so much pain in people's life to consider such kind of Sonam's pain.
