Kabir Singh was a negative character so shouldn’t have won best actor award... but I guess khilji was a saintly character which is why RS got best actor award for playing it

Arjun reddy already got awards. Kabir Singh is Arjun reddy only with different actors. Why would one give it to the copy film again awards? Where is the originality. Vijay already got the award for the exact same performance.

I just watched Gully Boy today, since I needed to compare the two. Having seen both, now I can confidently say that both performances were good but Ranveer as Murad was a far more layered, far more subtle and complex performance. When I saw Murad, I forgot it was Ranveer. The way he spoke, the accent he adapted, it was so amazing. Also, Murad’s character has so much growth that Ranveer got to explore different aspects of his character.

There was a category Best Actor-Actress in comedy role and Best Actor-Actress in Villainous role and both male and female combinely nominated for that,

Is that category vanish from Filmfare now

What happen to that category who won Best Negative and Best Comedy awards for this year

Award to pata nahi but RK/RS would have been slammed 20 times more than Shahid if they had taken up such a role. Then ppl wudnt say 'they are actors and performed excellently, like they say for Shahid'.

RK/RS wudve become the poster boys for popularizing abusive/regressive characters. Coz they have more haters than fans😆

Shahid is too over rated on this forum for kabir Singh

No, they would not have.

The mindset pervasive among the jury probably was that they didn't want to award a film which glorified toxic masculinity. If they had given the award to the film, it would have invited a backlash among several sections of the media, and they were not willing to take the risk.
