I spoke to a few friends of mine and one of them loves Shukla.

another one who doesn't watch the show said that Shukla is doing GREAT in the show right ?

I asked my friend why does she love Shukla and why not ASIM ? Her response was 'ASIM IS ANNOYING, HE POKES'

I didn't dicuss further with her

Like u said this is a case of ILLUSORY TRUTH EFFECT - The tendency to believe false information to be correct after repeated exposure.

Makers have constantly and repeatedly hammered in the heads of the audience that Shukla gets POKED hence his behavior is JUSTIFIED and Asim is annoying !

Poking and instigation have been a part of this game since a long time now and in fact contestants like Shilpa were hailed for it !

But this time around physically hurting someone,. abusing their families etc. ARE JUSTIFIED in the name of poking ! Poor guy got POKED so him breaking all the rules of the house n going berserk is JUSTIFIED !

Also if and when SHUKLA HIMSELF POKES OTHERS .....Yesterday he kept taking Asim's name in the convo (earlier when Asim had taken his name during discussion of house duties...the whole house had blamed him for poking Shukla n Shukla had a huge fight with him) . He kept passing snide comments BUT THAT IS NOT POKING BUT IS TERMED AS ENTERTAINMENT !

We can see right through the bias ...we can see what of kin dirty tricks and politcs channel has been doing (had a made a post on it as well - SYSTEMATIC PULING DOWN OF A 26 YEAR OLD)

BUT the general TV viewing audience who are not on social media ! what about them ! TheY often accept the illusion created by the makers as THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH !

FOR THEM - Shukla's behavior is justified coz he never got punished for it ! He pushed , abused, crossed his limits YET NO PUNISMENT !

INSTEAD Asim got bashed, Salman called him irritating ! Salman giving a clean chit to Shukla is a big thing for such people !

A LOT OF Asim's fun moments are edited out and put in UU section so that makers can create an illusion that all Asim does is fight ! We know that he is a fun loving guy coz we have seen it on Voot..we have also seen the epis where he does a lot more than just fighting ! BUT CONSTANT HAMMERING OF THE POINT THAT HE ONLY FIGHTS IN THE MINDS OF THE TV VIEWERS is done !

Him treating Arti and Sana like dirt is justified ! Coz Salman himself told Shukla to be wary of Sana as she is madly in love with him....Coz makers justify Shukla abusing n taunting Sana as love !

This is a classic case of ILLUSORY TRUTH EFFECT ......Channel has followed their narrative and created an illusion !

Shukla WILL WIN NOT COZ HE HAS MANY FANS......HE WILL WIN COZ OF THE CHANNE'S NARRATIVE THAT HAILS SHUKLA ....COZ OF THE ILLUSORY TRUTH EFFECT that brainwashes so many and force them to believe that Shukla is a HERO ...COZ OF THE BIAS !

P.S. - Despite all of this I am so glad that Asim has managed to garner a huge fan following ! It's often said that innate goodness often shines despite efforts to suppress it

Most of the time he is the one to talk aggressively , rudely, mockingly. He is lying about poking n reacting, using that as an excuse to hide. AAP ki adalat didn’t do justice. There were so many abusive things he has spoken, they hardly showed them. This is Bias !

My Family member who's offline audience, supported him too initially based on just regular episodes and wkvs

But now dislikes him to core now because of

¹ forced love angle

² his aggressive behaviour

³ His language and behaviour towards hms esp Sana

⁴ His yellow Chaddi

So even if Channel tried to whitewash him , majority of audience can see his real colours provided they ain't blind fans.

Bias and narrative play a huge role in swaying the audience! When a culprit isn't reprimanded every WKV while victims get painted as the culprit Ofc there will be a section, not aware of how reality shows function, to see Sid in the positive light!

I'll give you an example of my aunt. She favors Sid. And you know what her answer was when I questioned about his violent outbursts - "Poking" ...

We have seen how this season "poking" has been given a huge narrative as the base of violence, but only when it concerns to hide Sid's negatives. Sid's poking doesn't get highlighted AT ALL instead it's Asim or Pahira (before he was a shukli) at fault for fighting with him! ...... This biased one sided narrative is used to sway our regular day to day audience who aren't on SM and who don't care what goes behind the scenes. This tilts majority to favor Sid who is always gets whitewashed every WKV. One week neglecting his faults, sure understandable. But when consistently it is done, part of our audience start to believe in Salman and BB's narrative how saintly Sid is! This is all done through micromanaging the BIAS!

Yes, there are also people like me and others who can see right through such bias, are active on SM and know how reality shows function. But not every one follows our suit esp the older generation who only follow the show Mon through Sun!

Plus PR work which also majorly spreads dirt on others through media while hyping Sid's macho, one man army, hero image, which is far from reality! Again PR and media play a huge to sway those who follow news and such without knowing ins and outs of what's happening behind the curtains!

This is how "fans" are gathered for a favored contestant.

Now I won't say Sid doesn't have genuine fans who like him for what he is. I mean I was one of them growing up on his show. Fans are fans. When you have followed someone for years they will justify everything under the Sun for their favorites!

But his real image on BB was enough for me to put a STOP on my liking. My sanity and conscience don't allow me to hail a narcissistic bully like himself. But many aren't like me. For whatever reason many don't want to accept Sid isn't the hail Mary Joseph they thought he was. Hence they continue to support him and justify by hook or crook how others are worse than him but not him. It's a defence mechanism!

There is also a section in India who loves to hail toxic masculinity and many live vicariously through him!

So overall speaking, Ofc he's got the fan following no doubts. But that fan following also has a section induced through his PR and another section swayed heavily through BIASED narrative of BB!

So I disagree to a great extent that his win means he's the most loved! That is nothing but a hogwash thanks to the bias reflected last many months of BB!

As for the winner, most likely it'll be Sid. But I truly hope there are more people like us who have seen through Sid's reality without succumbing to media and BB's bias! It'll be one hell of a miracle to see a winner who isn't babied till the finale to lift the trophy! ⭐️

What a perfect sum up thanks Topic maker... many more agree word to word but still wouldn’t want to admit. Blind following and bias can never produce right results.
