in earlier days in India, if your are boy and sibling with sisters, you were not encouraged to do house hold works.

So when you see as a mother that your son is doing something which you have never imagined, you will feel happy, right?

Same is mentioned in here. She is happy at least he learned some basic chores in BB

and about hype, everyone agrees SS is star of BB, whatever happens around him makes buzz! So his mom's letter also made buzz, simple. no need to judge his mother or media or his fans.

I beg to disagree. Sorry

@bold - you probably misunderstood my whole point.

From a mother’s perspective it’s an achievement because their kids have never done these things before, like I gave Rashmi’s mom’s example.

There is no Raja beta/raja beti thing in this. It’s just a small thing that makes mothers happy when they see their kids learning/doing things they never did before. Or their mothers though they couldn’t manage like this.

My point was why not appreciate it instead of criticising it with the Raja beta/beti label.

Maybe they learned these things late in life but now they have so it’s a good thing ⭐️

Okay, I respect your point but don't agree to it as I don't see any thing to appreciate. I would just quote Samir Soni, 'It would set a terrible precedence if he wins'- that's it.

He learnt basic survival cooking. How does that make him a Chef? It rather makes him just a self sufficient Adult.

And if Shukla is a Chef for this, then what does it make Rashami?

Or for that matter Shilpa Maa jinhone pure season Rotiyan banayi thi. Would she be called Michelin star Chef now?🤪

maybe BB can help Sid learn how to wash his dirty shorts too so Arti can get a break. Why would a mother of a 40 year old even acknowledge that her manchild was sot self sufficient before ?

I tell you, making roti is a big deal; I Can cook everything including biryanis but still make mostly pentagon Rotis, he made it round 😆

on a serious note; culturally the boys are sent to shop in the bazaar & girls do the cooking. So they develop different skill sets.

today’s Supermarkets are pretty new & it’s not yet available to all. but I do agree that everyone should be able to do the household chores, it’s about your own comfort. Actually boys don’t learn until they live alone. Bcoz mothers don’t allow boys in the kitchen. 😊
