Kangana Ranaut Asks Deepika Padukone to Apologise - Page 3

I thought it was a theatrical make-up artist challenge, a show of ability. People who are horrified or offended by the look are basically admitting that in real life they cannot bear to look at the victims.

You cannot hide the tragedy of acid attacks by sweeping it under the rug and acting as if it does no exist or acting as if the victims do not deserve to show up in public, because they may be offensive. The issue MUST be showcased in the open, it is tragic, acid attacks and rape are the most heinous attacks against women, and it has to stop.

Its hypocrisy, just like everything related to the ranauts, they have gotten a lot of mileage out of rangolis attack. Now they are making this about kangana, always placing herself as an important or relevant part of EVERYTHING that happens in the country. It is things like this that make the ranauts so toxic and abominable, they will do anything to claim the limelight, even taking away the five minute attention the country is giving the victims.

Rangoli is not even that bad because her damage was not as bad as some of the victims and she supposedly had a lot of surgery, basically she got a lot more help than most victims can afford, if you look at her now she is really not that different from before, she was not what you can call pretty. kangana also has had cosmetic surgery but you can see the family resemblance, something that a lot of victims do not have.

Is kangana going to apologize to fat people? after her video of that pudgy ladoo, claiming to be Jayalalitha? Fat people may be offended and hurt.....

Behen you start apologizing for harassing people and stealing directors credits first .

If I remember it correctly its not Deepika but the mental health organization(I may not have got the name correct) which has raised an objection against that title....And the makers changed the title otherwise it wouldn’t be cleared by the censors not because they were concerned for the ‘sensitive’ people....

You are right.. kangy did not change the title because Deepika's foundation criticized it..

Members of the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) had written a letter to the CBFC seeking a change in the title of "Mental Hai Kya" stating they find it derogatory and demeaning to the mentally ill people.

There are couple of points here:

1. People are already trying Malti 'look' before this ticktock video

2. Deepika should have been careful when she used that term 'look' because it's not something people intentionally want. It's attached with horror, stigma, pain, cruelty.. It's not like some other scar. I feet whatever her intentions were it was insensitive.

3. Most hate speech commentators didnt probably even thought about acid attack victims ever. Its to show how woke and concerned they are while most of them would behave like those who were shown in social experiment video..

Nope, she didn't, it was the institution 'LLL foundation' but dear kangna / her sister started bashing deepika instead, just like our esteemed members on IF, who start bashing your favourite if you bash theirs...... Later Indian psychiatric Association themselves spoke up about it, (people who deal with patients and know the ground reality) only then the makers changed the title..

2. Yes she has a responsibility to be careful with her words and actions, we all do. However people are not perfect, and a moral ruler should not be different sizes for different people.

3. Lost you here, maybe syntax or...are you referring to yourself? when you speak about hate speech commentators and how you would behave if in this social experiment? Because I can assure you without hesitation that is not how I would act, so I never blame anyone for ifs or maybes.

$. Exactly how? Does Deepika, her film, her insensitive to some TT video (not to others-just to be clear), the victims, the country OWE kanaga any apology? who is she to demand anything from anyone? Who died an appointed her the chief of all affairs and the moral police?

Kangana might be a disgusting person and may be she should apologize to a lot of people. I won't argue over that..I don't believe in defending the real life shit the actors do. But here she isn't wrong..

I don't consider Hrithik a victim and he certainly isn't looking for sympathy from 2 rs people like you. What happened in the personal lives of between two equally rich n powerful people is none of anyone's business. So I don't see why I need to take a side in their case and sympathise with one or the other.

In this case, being acid victim themselves, Kangana and rangoli has every right to speak up in support of victim like themselves and others. And I can clearly see how majority of members are showing their compassion towards the sister duo and all other acid victims in this thread by saying things like "look who's talking" and "rangoli isn't even that badly damaged and she has has a lot of surgeries" and all that mocking and ridiculing emojis. If that's the way to show any compassion for real victims, sorry but I can't bring myself to that level. I just can't even if I tried.
