Ananya did appear to be a very good friend when things were steady and she knew Rudra is against love. I hope I am wrong and she actually wakes up from her dream and starts understanding Rudra more but I am not betting on it.

you know I never liked Ananya since the beginning. she was always very entitled but it was not as obvious because she was secure. Now that they are getting married, she rightfully thinks she will be EVERYTHING to rudra only that...he does not see her that way. A lover can be a friend but a friend cannot be a lover.

I always hated how she took MJ's side depite rudra's hatred.

@pomegranate, Even my mom never liked Ananya. She always felt that she has no job apart from doing chaplusi of Mrityunjay or Rudra. She is nothing on her own. Come to think of it, I made a mistake to think that a girl bestie can be different.

Ananya is more pathetic than Saanjh in my honest opinion. Saanjh was in love with Arjun, I agree. But she always put Arjun's feelings at the forefront before hers. The friend in her accepted Maya and Arjun's love. It was Arjun who was good for nothing.

But in S2, Rudra has always been clear about his stand with Ananya. He has maintained he doesn't love Ananya. Even the friendship is not so solid as Duffer-Dusky type. Arjun used to share everything with Saanjh, even his issues and problems. But Rudra never does that with Ananya. So the friendship base is also faulty.

Now Rudra may have done a stupidity in fear of love. But this stupidity will actually serve to show where Ananya stands and how good a friend she is. Ananya is a desperate, greedy, good-for-nothing woman whose only aim is to marry Rudra and act pally to Mrityunjay. She is not a good friend which we can see and is an insecure lover, who is imposing herself on Rudra without even an engagement. Just imagine the pain she will be to Rudra.

Rudra in his friendship may have not seen this. But the moment he drifts towards Maya, Ananya starts showing her true colors. Ananya herself will show Rudra with her behavior, whom he should be choosing unfortunately.

Ananya annoyed me ever since she started siding with MJ. Granted she does not know their history, that is why she should have stayed neutral. Instead she defended MJ because subconsciously, she wanted to be seen as bahu material. As a so called best friend, she should have stayed neutral when she saw rudra's hate. If they get married, she will force rudra' to get closer to MJ which will hurt him. When she is not imposing herself in rudra's life, she is making sure everyone knows she may become his wife( like she did in front of nandini)

Dusky- Duffer had a strange co-dependent relationship but they were connected in ways that rudra and ananya are not. Rudra did not even tell her what happened 10 years ago so this tells us everything.
