There could be two things driving him- either he really hate Akanksha and want to get rid of her or he really love Mahira and doesn't want to lose her.

It's personal, because game wise he doesn't need Mahira and fighting with BB n Salman for it will ruin his game.

What powerful man? Salman is a financially successful man but he cannot destroy or make anyone's career. Other than Vivek Oberoi (who I think destroyed his own career by doing press conference and being overconfident), Salman has not destroyed or MADE anyone's career. If someone has talent (Arijit Singh, Aishwariya Rai, Ranbir Kapoor, etc), Salman cannot make or break their careers. He has ZERO SENSE of talent.
