He made those fat gestures. Said everyone's lost weight but she's put on-that's how it looks on screen. 'Aap bohot heavy ho' .. How's that not supposed to be offending?

She isn't ok with Shukla calling her fat either. She gets upset when he jokes about it. Which is quite normal. We also get upset when our friends call us fat. So friend or stranger, it's fat shaming.

He was one of the nicest ppl that came in.

Did you find it cute?

Cuz I sure didn't, and am sure no one would find it too flattering being told something like that about their weight from some guy they just met for the first time.

Agree. It hs fat shaming and its not nice to hear about weight from anyone-but in friendship, we do happen to let friends take some liberties. If she isn't happy she should make it clear to him. But she laughs and jokes around too. And he should also have the decency to stop cracking jokes about her weight as well.

Even if one does gear the moti word before, does it make it OK? Is it nice?

Especially if one has weight issues, it's not gonna be nice to hear and just cuz you've heard others call you that, don't mean you become immune to it.

Don't expect Shehnaz to take stand where she should but will create huge drama over small things. Plus this is Sid. Even if she will ask him to stop he won't. Their friendship is quite weird. Ek na karta hai toh dusra aur bhi zyada karta hai. 😆

Yea even i feel he got twisted in his words. He was actually trying to compliment her that she looks different and much fitter in person than on TV. But it came out wrong. Its ok it happens. I really liked his visit in the house though very positive vibe. Also don’t know why those who would judge Umar would give a pass to Shukla for the same thing.

Twisted in words isn't a good enough excuse.

What he said, and in the way he said it, just came across as insensitivite.

I think he was trying to compliment her, and it came out all wrong. He should’ve chosen his words better, or avoided that bit entirely. It sounded wrong and offensive - given its on TV and he was meeting her for the first time. Of course - I can’t guarantee his intentions, but given he appeared pretty gentlemanly and nice through the rest of his visit, I’m guessing it wasn’t mean spirited.
