See as much as I have seen in the show, both Rashmi and Asim are very loyal to their friends. So I honestly do not think that unless any VERY major happens they would cut off their friendship. The channel however will do whatever they can to break their bond. They have been trying to do so first quite sometime. All their best scenes are out into unseens, they are randomly putting Sidharth into the same team as theirs for last few instances, even that captain task was designed to put a barrier within them as they didn't expect Asim to do what he did. Similarly, they also didn't expect Rashmi to defend Asim relatively well in that Elite Club debate.
