That's exactly the same thing. Why should they be worried about their careers just for speaking their mind? But they know they will be attacked and their livelihood will be threatened. Last time, bhakts threw rocks at SRK's car just because he gave his opinion. What if his little kid was inside? BJP spokesperson and ministers called him a terrorist, told him to move to Pakistan, and actively promoted the other film in a clash. When the whole state and political machinery is used against a person, there will definitely be fear. They are also harassed in other ways like booking them in fake cases, income tax raids, IT cell spreading fake news everywhere.

Just this week, BJP's IT cell was spreading lies that went viral about SRK's being arrested in an anti-CAA protest in London. The Associated Press had to do a fact check with the British police to prove it false. That's without him saying a word about any of this.

Couldn't agree more.. Equating public reactions to what government is doing is lame justification. Their election portfolio to achievements they brag are all just lame from making mandir to Kashmir issue & questioning citizenship everything is about hate, fear and power play.

Nothing related to development & progress of nation. A true patriot will focus more about economy and where the nation is heading to. But here the open oppression of certain sections of society is appeasing people. Which says a lot about their so called patriotism.

The divide and rule policy of the current fascist govt is inspired from Britishers. No wonder rss were their sycophants during that period.

Cheap cheap move by her as expected. Her movie had zero buzz, now it's trending. Where was she all the time when protests were going on? This is the main reason I dislike her so much. Even if that was the case what about it? You won’t tell me all the celebrities speaking to out are genuine. No one cares about Bollywood being genuine, we want them to use their privilege and speak and not hide like cowards. I would like to remind you this will hurt her in the long run, few wokes on the internet applauding her is not enough for her to risk her career by going against the government. She could have just made a generic post on Instagram and she would have had same support without the death threats that comes with it. So just admit it, it takes guts.

what do you mean she never spoke? She was the only one standing for the movie just go on twitter and check her tweets from that period. She also did many interviews during this time and refused to meet Official to discuss it. I mean you can say whatever you want about her but saying she was mute is false. Reason she was the only one targeted is because she was speaking.
