Yes we are still a democracy ...even with so many religions , castes ,language speakers living together ...we are still living to see another day ....and we will... A deepika padukone or a commoner like me can still protest coz it's still a democracy....Chinese ppl cannot even show solidarity towards Hong Kong or when Uyghur killings happen...we are still better.....

She can do whatever. It’s a free country. She can stand in protests (her freedom) and I can laugh at her standing there (that’s my freedom)
