Most followed Indian celebs are Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Virat Kohli with under 50 million followers each.

Whereas, Kylie Jenner And Kim Kardashian have over 150 million followers each.🤦🏻‍♂️

Just checked: India has only 71 Million Instagram accounts.

Instagram *popped* off in India much later than in the rest of the world. If you look at growth rates, I'm sure Indian celebrities are equal or HIGHER than their American counterparts.

Not to mention the fact that mobile phones per person in India vs USA - there was a huge difference a decade ago when Instagram was launched. And the fact that when it was launched in October 2010, it was exclusive to iOS (iPhones only). It was another 18 months before it was launched on Androids (April 2012). And it got it's launch as a "limited feature" website in November 2012.

Give it a few more years and India will top every list.

HW stars have fewer followers than Desi stars.It is the musicians,sports stars and kardashians who have huge number of followers.I mean PC has more followers than Robert Downey Junior!

It is the same on Twitter..HW movie stars surprisingly have fewer followers on an average.

Big franchise stars like Vin ,The Rock are exceptions..
