And what a victory it was, chota hi sahi, but Mrityunjay ko tilmilane ke liye kaafi tha. Maya played her game really well. Not only she managed to drive a deeper wedge between Mrityunjay and Rudra, but she also marked Rudra as her own, driving him away from Ananya and Rishi, so that whenever such difficult situations arise, Rudra can look up to find Maya with him.
The confrontation continues - Rudra and Mrityunjay continue to bellow at each other, but on the other end of the hidden camera, we have Maya witnessing all the ongoings at the Roy house. Not just that, we get to see another layer to Rishi. He is not willing to be treated like a kid anymore. He has the right to know the truth, and whatever went down between his brother and father, he wants this to end. He also does not like the fact that Rudra keeps taking a dig at his precious 'DAD' because he feels he has his reasons to justify what he did. But Rudra is in no mood to here any preachings of his brother or best friend. He gives his father a deadline to return his company to him or he will go to court and expose him before media. Mrityunjay goes into MJ mode who does not answer threats from "kids" and is not scared of anyone. I really want to know which side Rishi and Ananya will eventually take after Mrityunjay is exposed and Maya's backstory is revealed.
Media Expose Part 1 - Where Rudra is all riled up and preparing for the press con to expose Mrityunjay Roy, Senior Roy is all calm and composed like there is nothing in the world to be scared of. Antara has another bout of frenzy and implores Mrityunjay to stop Rudra. Mrityunjay does stop Rudra, true to his swagger, he does not bend but uses his might and calls off the media gathered at RuAn Publications. What Rudra considers his loss, Maya comes waltzing in as Krishna to teach her Arjun, that battles are not won by might, they are won by intelligence. And when traditional media does not come in handy, we have good ol' digital media to do the talking. This part is significant because Maya came in when Rudra was being isolated by his brother and best friend - when he needed the much-needed support to charge ahead against Mrityunjay Roy. See, Ananya and Rishi are unaware of the kind of games Mrityunjay Roy plays, because of the image he has put forward of himself with the support of his circle. Only Rudra and Maya are aware and victims of his manipulation and destruction and so they want to fight him. But Rudra's biggest problem is his anger which leads him to give up pretty easily. Mrityunjay is very cool, hence he is able to outmaneuver his opponents. This is where Maya steps in. She is the cool and calm one here. Not only does she handle Rudra's anger calmly, where Rishi might back off and Ananya will get flustered, she also calms him down and shows him the right direction. This scene is an apt example of Krishna guiding Arjun.
Media Expose Part 2 - Where the first part was a victory for Mrityunjay, the second part which was a joint counter-attack by MayRa, forced Mrityunjay to back off and hand over to Rudra what rightfully belongs to him. Where Mrityunjay thought that this setback would have bogged Rudra down, and he was all set to celebrate with mithai over lunch, Rudra comes back empowered by Maya and social media to bring down Mrityunjay Roy. We all know the outreach of social media, it is faster and wider. Rudra just goes live and the stocks begin to catapult down, such is the power of digital media. Dadi is a rockstar, always there to show Mrityunjay the mirror. On the pretext of a new channel, she shows Rudra's 'palatvaar' on him. And the most significant dialogue of this episode, 'Mrityunjay, haar maan lo, hum Roys ne apne raaz chupaane ke liye kya kya nahi kiya', and she advises Mrityunjay to back off before its too late and Mrityunjay has no choice but to relent. As soon as he texts Ananya that he is giving back his stakes, Rudra smoothly transitions the expose to a publicity stunt for Maya Jaisingh's latest book. Oh, how I loved Shivin in this scene, the panache with which he transitioned from the hot-headed man on a mission to the suave publisher in a matter of seconds. Kudos to him👏👏👏.
Prior to all this going down, we had Rudra crashing and burning and no one could calm him, Rishi was equally angry at his brother, but he did not have the audacity to challenge him, and Ananya could not calm him, instead, she jumped back a few steps. Only Maya came forward and took the matter into her hands, and we could see him effectively calm down. Behind-the-scenes of the live video, Maya stood as the rock so that Rudra doesn't waver and the trip-n-fall seemed to affect Rudra more than Maya today. Seeing Ananya's expression, Maya further established her right on Rudra, more than Ananya by adjusting his collar for the video - which did not go unnoticed by Rishi. Rishi does not appreciate Maya supporting Rudra in the first place, and then adjusting his collar when she does not like touching. Rishi questions her for supporting Rudra when she should be helping him and she aptly replies that she is only supporting what is right. This I feel is going to be a bone of contention between both brothers. How will Maya pull it off, we have to wait and watch.
Precap - CVs, aap log bahut chant ho! Scenes kaat kaat ke aise bithaya hai, that it freaks us all out. But why is it significant:
Maya invites her colleagues (Rudra, Ananya & Rishi) for a party and some fun and games. Fun and games mean egging Rudra further to face his feelings for Maya. I am sure the hug between Rishi and Maya was platonic because if Rudra had an inkling about their relationship, he would have blasted Rishi first and Maya later. And that kiss wouldn't have ensued.
Maya and Rudra take one step further towards each other only for Rudra to take back a few steps, because Rudra is always running from love because his experience is very bitter. He does not want to face his past, how can he come to terms with his feelings for Maya. He will surely cold shoulder her and ask her to stay away from him, which Maya will very nicely oblige. Not just him, it is a big leap for Maya who cringes at the touch of a Roy to go and share a kiss with Rudra. Both will have an emotional rollercoaster, but for Maya's game to go ahead, she will have to pull herself together. Maya will definitely oblige Rudra when he asks her to stay away from him, but it is he who will find it difficult to stay away. Not just that he will also be extra possessive, protective and jealous. The look he has when she hugged Rishi.😆
Lastly, CCTV Ankit, why the hell does he attack Maya? Maya screaming for help is unlike Maya. That is the last thing she will do - take someone's help to protect herself. Either it is one of her panic attacks like she had before, or this is one of her schemes to frame Ankit in her game.
