I would say this again. Vedika is damn stupid to have donated her kidney assuming that would make Kartik accept her as his wife. He, at least, treated her with respect and so-called friend prior to her deal but now he will despise her. She lost a vital organ, probably halved her life, all for what? 😂

That hospital scene is symbolic and should give Vedika a reality check that she needs (not that she’s gonna understand it because she’s been blind to everything till now). Vedika would stay married to Kartik as per her deal, she would be known as Mrs. Goenka, but she would never get his affection. He’s always gonna be drawn towards Naira.

This is one thing I have always liked about Kartik. He’s very transparent when it comes to his emotions. He doesn’t even wanna hide about the deal from Naira. He won’t sugar coat his words in front of Vedika because she did him a favour. I am not saying he’s always right but I would rather a person be brutally honest and crude than someone who is fake. The Kartik post marriage wasn’t true to his character sketch because the focus was more on Kartik- the father, than Kartik- the husband.

No...I think Vedika has faked it but I am talking based on what Kartik's knows till now; for him Vedika did donate her kidney. That's what Vedika wants everyone to think; she sacrificed an organ to save Naira and in return she expected Kartik's affection and the status of being his wife.

For me, it’s not about Vedika disagreeing to donate her kidney, it’s the fact that she wants to do it in exchange of staying married to a guy who has no feelings for her whatsoever.

I have mentioned this in another thread and I would say the same here, I would have liked it had Vedika refused to donate her kidney because that would have shown that she’s still strong enough to take a decision for her own self.

However, she didn’t do that. She got herself tested even though no one asked her do so, agreed to donate on Kartik’s persistence but then put forth her deal.
The “forumwasis” have indeed normalised the act of donating one’s organ because Vedika made a deal out of it. She’s trading her kidney for a life as Mrs. Goenka. It is no longer an act of saving someone’s life because it seems more like a calculated and vindictive move to stay married to a rich guy because what is the poor girl gonna do if he leaves her (her words not mine).

You mentioned Kartik pleading to Vedika to save his Naira’s life because he or his child won’t be able to survive without her. If you have watched the segment, you might have also watched what follows. Vedika telling him very conveniently that he has very little time to take a decision. She even slipped in his son’s name to convince him to take her “deal”. Isn’t that emotional manipulation?

Majority of us don’t want her to donate the kidney because we don’t want Kaira to owe anything to her. People are even saying that Naira fighting for Kartik, as the promo suggested, would appear wrong if Vedika does donate her kidney. So I would disagree with you when you say audience is trivialising the transplant. To reiterate, why are we expected to sympathise with Vedika when she’s getting something out of it in return?

Also, I have no qualms in accepting that I might appear biased in my opinion. A character like Vedika who wants to stay with a guy who’s in love with someone else, has a family, doesn’t deserve love. She doesn’t need even need to act nice. She can call the Goenkas out for their unfair attitude towards her and walk out, why stay with people who she thinks don’t value her? I can’t respect a character who has no self-respect.

If vedika was strong enough she would have refused to marry kartik in the first place , when he had no interest in marrying her, when he was being forced by dadi to marry her. she cud have ended it there by telling i wont marry a guy forcibly.

And do not forget kartik naira were hurt because she went to dargah to delay divorce. naria is hurt saving the guy she loved. And what divorce kartik naira wernt divorced when vedika got married so her marriage itself is not legally valid
