I clearly wrote that I didn't undestand why Sonam wasn't called out for advertising her trip to Israel which is a country well known for its regime atrocities and is called out for visiting SA which is a country which has recently shown a desire to be more open on the world.

I also clearly asked how come another country like China wasn't targeted by such an outcry from Bolly fans when it's another country which is well known for not respecting Human Rights and harassing millions of people within its borders.

I then asked why weren't people so quick to judge Bolly celebs involvment with countries such as the US (which is a great ally of SA) and Dubai (which is no better in regard of treating women, the LGTBQIA+ community, or immigrants such as Indians, Filipinos or Sudanese...)

One can then wonder why only one country is targeted. Is it due to Islamophia ? If not, i's it due to the hate the persons has for Sonam ?

You clearly don’t understand why Sonam is specifically being called out on visiting SA. Sonam spoke in support of LGBTQ numerous times and then visits a country which gives death sentences to LGBTQ on a regular basis( that too for a event sponsored by Saudi government). If Sonam spoke about supporting Uighur Muslims and then visited China to make money then she would have been called out for that. You are deflecting the issue by bringing her Israel and China visits.

Saudi airline sucks. I used it to go from Lahore to Jeddah. Ridiculous. NO TV no phone charger no anything. It was just Umrah walon flight. Everyone was in white. Except me I was in my backwards baseball cap 🤣

You're clearly lying. I took a Saudi Airlines this summer to go to Asia and while it wasn't the best airlines I used, it wasn't the worst either.

Sonam isn’t being called out for just visiting Saudi Arabia. She’s being called out for promoting a government run and controlled tourism program and that’s where her hypocrisy comes into full display. Her support of LGBTQ causes is just one of the reasons why this move is hypocritical because homosexuality is punishable by death in Saudi.

Yes China and Israel and a whole lot of other powerful countries do their fair share of oppressing minorities. It would be a huge humanitarian move if at a large scale India banned screening of Bollywood movies in China or Israel. But let’s face it, India’s got her own issues with dealing minorities these days 🙄. But on an individual basis, it is absolutely 100% hypocritical for a self proclaimed woke feminist progressive liberal to support anything by the government of Saudi Arabia. Oh by the way, Bollywood celebs who visited with Netanyahu in Mumbai a couple years ago got roasted on social media including Big B.

But people shouldn’t really be surprised. Sonam lost a lot of credibility when she defended Raju Hirani. And I think she realizes it too. 7 years ago she attended demonstrations in Delhi after Nirbhaya attack, but I don’t think she said a word after the gang rape and murder of the vet last month in Hyderabad. She knew full well she’ll get crucified on twitter if she said a beep.
