Why is it so fun to see someone's downfall?

I see many people celebrating Dabangg 3's failure. Celebrating because Bhai's superstardom days are over. Why is it so fun to see someone fail, or to be more appropriate, why is it so fun to see someone's downfall? Why can't people digest other people's success? Are people so sadistic that they can't let someone be happy with their life? Just because you are sad and unsuccessful in life, you want others who are more successful to fail too?

Kahi suna tha maine, ki jab dusre ki barbadi apni jeet jaisi lagne lage, tab tumse zyada barbaad iss duniya mein aur koi nahi.

Public always like the story of an underdog rising and reigning ones coming down. When it happens in real, they will obviously celebrate. Not that, they don't like these stars. They did when these were rising as youngsters over Amitabh, Sanjay Dutt etc. Now someone else's turn. Time waits for none.

I can only speak for myself. I'm so glad this movie failed. Hope salmon won't be making more dabang. It's absolutely irritating to see his weird buffed up physique on my TV screen.

Also, with this, hopefully the trend of mindless violence being shown in the name of entertainment would also die down.

I hope Rohit Shetty and his universe is similarly rejected by the audience.

I don't think people celebrating are because it's Salman.

People are celebrating because mediocrity is being rejected, and mindless entertainment shown the door.

If this was a Bajrangi Bhaijaan, no-one would be celebrating. People want good films to get good numbers.

It has been always like that for me. I hated him so much whilst he was successful. Now that his movie is doing not so great, i no longer hate him.

Salman ke har ke naam pe, my fav song of Jacqy-Salman .

I am so glad Prabhudeva is getting his comeuppance at last. So sick of him objectifying women on screen.

😆

As that person who is the happiest in the forum that Dabangg 3 has flopped I will answer this question.

There is nothing like witnessing the downfall of a criminal who has used public support and money derived from public support to keep himself outta jail. An abusive man who hurt women, made rape jokes, killed humans and endangered animals, supported a terrorist, threatened people with underworld connections.. the question should be : why would anyone be HAPPY for his success or wish for it? I don't get it and probably never will. Wishing for a criminal's success? LOL.

So this falling stardom is such a good thing to see. The criminal can no longer hide behind his stardom. I hope he goes bankrupt soon too 😆Karma will spare nobody. Hopefully,Jail awaits him in the future.

Watching baarbaadi of criminal corrupt assholes of the world is a great feeling. Hope we get to see more of it every single day.😆

That's basic human trait. Some find it fun because they think they deserve it. Some are just cruel.
