Author JK Rowling wants to write a book about a stand-up comedian.

The millionaire, who is currently working on a Harry Potter encyclopaedia, said she had a "real thing" about the comedy idea but hadn't started work on it yet.

The Edinburgh-based writer added: "That is not what I'm writing though, so if something comes out next week, I'm not doing it."

Rowling, 42, said that she was currently working on two other projects - one she dubbed a "political fairytale" while the other was a more adult story.

She revealed she was often accosted by aggressive people looking for an autograph to sell.

She added: "I'm setting aside the eBayers - that's not about being a fan."

JK Rowling has to be careful on her future literary works. Each person has their forte. Moving genres is not always easy. Each genre has its loyalists with preferences. Many writers have failed in changing genres. Good luck to Rowling, her name will sell books - but she has to guarantee it has to be good - because one you are on top there is no way but down.

I agree with u that changing genre is not something very easy, but like u said her "name" is enough for her books to become a bestseller😆😆 But i am sure it will be good. I think she has got all kinds of talent in herself...👏👏
