I know its considered a norm in this country, but that does NOT make it right. All cuss words that people use to insult one another always involve a female. This is not just about insulting one's mothers and sisters, but the one who is cussing doesn't realize that the way they speak must be insulting to their very own mothers.

Which mother would like for their kids to speak this way? Why do you have to use words like these to insult someone? Is being a woman a gaali to you?

This is absolutely wrong. At least be creative and come up with some new words which are gender neutral if you are so hell bent on cussing.

Not cool at all.

Its a norm everywhere. Not just in this country. And yes...every other insult is centered on the idea of one woman or the other being a 'sl ut' whether its the recipient themselves or their mother or sister or aunt or whoever. Im guilty of using such words when im angry because they have the most effect..its conditioning or whatever. But i dont get into it the moment someone disagrees with me. It takes a long while to get there. Im hoping new gender neutral insults would be invented soon lol Even the ones we have now for men are misogynistic...namard for an effeminate man..and so on. Men insult other men by implying they are like women-the worst thing to be.

That being said..i dont think its these words that matter the most. Its the things u say when ure calmer. I dont get offended by maa behen gaalis as much as i get offended by casual remarks about women not toeing the line . Stray remarks questioning a womans achievements..ageist remarks about her appearance...blaming someones instantly for that persons behaviour...these kind of things are more harmful from where i see it. "She must have slept around to get the job ". " Lipstick at 55...must be desperate". Desperate and frustrated are really terrible words that are used to totally discredit a woman . Is she angry with you about ur rude behaviour?she must be desperate for attention. Did she tell you off for trying to be smart with her?-She is sexually frustrated and needs you to sort it out

'Auraton wali harqatein mat kar " was the worst thing said about women in this season of BB. someone stole tealeaves and they need to stop acting like a woman wow

That is a wonderful perspective. I completely agree with you. These random comments that people pass are completely uncalled for and are much more hurtful.
