Violent riots that are illegal are not peaceful protests. Peaceful protests is a constituitional right and I don't understand why both are being clubbed into one to create a narrative and shame people for supporting protests. If protests itself is a wrong idea maybe we should all demand the government to strip off this right from its citizens. I m sure they will gladly accept and implement. Whatever helps the nation is welcome move.

I haven't seen any of you talk about the peaceful protestors either but I didn't go about mocking any of you for this neither did I make fun of those riots and violence. But some here are constantly taking jibes at peaceful protestors and their supporters while posting about the violence. I don't know if its less in number or not but it exists and there are plenty more of such posts from all over the country available on the net despite internet cut off in some places. If I can see the both side so do the rest but it seems everybody has taken a side and is glued to it. If not speaking up about the violent protestors shows the priorities of the liberals then what does it say about those who posted violent incidents and mocked peaceful protests like they don't exist ? Isn't that misguiding people? Is it ok to only acknowledge the bad side and keep demonising the whole process while ignoring the positive side?
Regarding violence thats taking place. Why on earth will I support the violence? its unfortunate that people are taking advantage of this situation , or maybe its genuinely the protestors who have turned violent with time. I don't know who they are I just know thats not what peaceful protesting anyone was referring too.Its rioting and they deserve to be arrested and seizing their properties is the only thing they will understand so thats the best a state can do. .And not posting about it is the same as the rest not posting about the peaceful protestors but just mocking them. It can't be one way blaming game when fault lies with both.
If I knew how to do handle the public better than the police itself then I would have become an IPS officer too. I know its difficult and may not work always but the police needs to try like this policemen did. I have seen examples before in my life to actually hope of a possibility. If some places have peaceful protests taking place then its because of the mature citizens and competent police officers. If riots takes place in other places then they need to be dealt differently as how illegal activities are dealt with. We can't mix both of them into one.

Then why do indian liberals changes their tunes depending on religions? If they took similar stand for all and weren't hypocrites, people would've understood it. Now with violent protests, and indian liberals staying silent and many of them supporting , they have send majority of indians a message that we don't care about you. The same bunch come with saffron terrorist theory , but stay silent when urban jihadis do the worse.
I feel safe under bjp and most of hindus do. This violent protests has made sure we vote for bjp because i see intolerant liberals supporting it and have no guts to call out jihadis. Today we all saw lucknow protest as well ... Posting peaceful updates won't shut down the violence going on and silence of intolerant as well as award waapsi people is just hypocrisy

If educated ones r saying such stuff, then i just can imagine the worse. Now i support the bill fully. I want to feel safe in india and i feel safe under modi. yes he has shortcomings but atleast he has guts to pass bills. Cant wait for uniform civil code as well
