They are falling right into Amit Shah’s trap. Indian leftists, who aren’t actually liberals, will stay silent on the violence of these religious regressive nutcases. In fact they will paint them as the saviors of the secular structure of the nation.
Don’t make these protesters heroes, they will come to bite your back because they stand for everything that is the opposite of liberal ideas. Don’t think enemy of your enemy is your friend.
Violent riots that are illegal are not peaceful protests. Peaceful protests is a constituitional right and I don't understand why both are being clubbed into one to create a narrative and shame people for supporting protests. If protests itself is a wrong idea maybe we should all demand the government to strip off this right from its citizens. I m sure they will gladly accept and implement. Whatever helps the nation is welcome move.
