Does Meenakshi love Kunal?

Hey all!

Ever since Meenakshi hit an all time low by blackmailing Abir regarding the truth of Kunal’s birth, I have thought about this question.

Before she got to know about MishBir, she seemed singularly focused on Kunal. Post the MishBir revelation, she has become increasingly obsessed with Abir. The things she said about Kunal while threatening Abir were shocking because this was her ‘family’ she was talking about. I am used to her dissing Mishti but this was truly unexpected. She said very hurtful things about Kunal, a person she has raised as her son, a person who is slavishly devoted to her.

Do you guys think Meenakshi loves Kunal the same way she loves Abir? Even now, she is using Kunal to break MishBir up and putting him up to all sorts of shady activities.

I have an answer in mind but I want to know what you all think. Does Meenakshi consider Kunal her son? Does she view him the same way she views her biological son?

But I always said that meenu never loved kunal like his own son, kunal was just a trophy son for her ,used for showing off to society.

Be it his wedding with kuhu or mishti or shweta , she never thought about kunal's feelings, she knew kunal will be broken after every rejection he faced but she still moved forward with her plan

She don't love abir, she don't love anyone, just to satisfy her ego she's tying everyone forcefully with her

Was thinking the same thing and I came up with a resounding “No”! Her issue is and always will be control. She controls Kunal but she yearns for Abir and his approval. How do I know? She let Parul threaten her into letting Kuhu marry Kunal even though she feels she’s unworthy, but she refused to let Abir marry Mishti because she hates her. There is a difference in her feelings, no matter what she says. She would never ask Abir to do the dirty things she has had Kunal do.

Kunal worships her and she controls him. I can’t wait until he finds out who he really is. Fireworks for sure!

No a big No.She neither loved Kunal nor Abir.She hasn't even accepted Parul for the later's goodwill.She didn't even love Mehul,her father or brother.From day 1 of the episode,it was quite evident that she is more of a dominating person than the loving one.Initially,she used to behave as if Abir is her step son but later on, despite the reality being revealed,her behaviour cannot be termed as anything that a mother would even think of.She doesn't even know what family is.The way she uses Kunal and the way she blackmailed Abir, no person would do.Her every actions are nothing but threat to the integrity of the family.The day she will stop interfering in the life of her sons,will be the day she will get to see what a happy family looks like.I am even unaware of reason behind hatred for Mishti.Infact I think none of the viewer are ckear regarding the actual reason behind Meenakshi's hypocrite behaviour.

Makers need someone to separate the lead and create drama. Thats why Meenakshi does confusing things like loving Kunal in one episode and not loving Kunal in one.

Simple plain answer

Honestly, in the very beginning, I thought she did. I only saw her actions as possessive/protective. But after she blackmailed Abir. Hell no! I can't believe she'd harbour those thoughts for him. Of course they have always been there, since she said all of it so easily. There was only hatred. She spewed so mucb venom, HOW can anyone love a person like that?

Kunal is devoted to his mother, followed everything she says blindly, always wants to please her. It just makes her feel better about herself when he does that because Abir is a stark contrast. I feel terrible for Kunal because he took up all those responsibilities for Meenu and she uses him as blackmail material. I really want him to step out of his devotion towards her. He deserves better even if he is an arse.

The question should be does she love anyone?

I mean she used both her sons to satisfy her ego. If you look at the story she used Kunal for her dirty work by claiming it was for Abir. Likewise she blackmailed Abir using Kunal. In short she is using the brother's love for each other as a weapon to control them.

Rest of the family is a non entity for her......

I think she hates people whom she can't control or manipulate according to her whims.

I do agree with you all when you say the only person she loves is herself. From the very beginning, it's always been Meenakshi Rajvansh ke bete, meri parvarish, mere sanskaar, mere bete yada yada yada. I honestly don't see how she can be redeemed. The CVs keep making her parrot the 'I do everything for my family' spiel but her family's happiness is defined solely by her. She doesn't treat them like living, breathing humans, she wants them to be her puppets. 😡

How is she any different from Mehul? Some may feel I am being harsh but if Mehul threatened to kill Meenakshi, Meenakshi let Mishti battle Mehul alone, knowing how dangerous he is. She didn't care if Mishti's life hung in the balance. At least Mehul is upfront about his vileness, Meenakshi is deluding herself and others into thinking she is some devi. 😳

It's sad that Kunal idolises a mother who insulted him to his brother's face. She called him a reminder of Mehul's betrayal. How low can she stoop? She threatened to throw out the son who destroyed Kuhu's life for her sake. She is ehsaan faramosh, like with Mishti. She is responsible for all of Kunal's faults but seems like she doesn't even consider him her own. He would have been a better person if he was raised by Parul.

Kunal needs to discover the truth soon. I don't blame her much for hiding the truth but I do blame her for what she said to Abir about Kunal. As said before, she had to have had those thoughts in her heart to be able to say it with such venom.

They also never showed her contemplating her actions later or regretting what she said. 🤔 Kunal has become a pawn for her. Abir is the prize but Kunal is the pawn. She is the most selfish character on the show. She has already driven Kunal down a path of deceit and lies and shows no signs of letting up.
