Homophobia is a serious matter, not only in India but throughout the world! .... Even in the west Homosexuals have to deal with so much filth day in and out esp kids in school who come out for the first time or start to realize their orientation!

I agree with you .... Homophobia is beyond what Asim may or may not have meant and many have made a mockery of it just to drag down Asim! ... I mean I can understand his popularity is making many nervous, but some issues shouldn't be used just to score a point like you pointed out! 👍🏼

Aloe Vera is effeminate apparently, when you're a snake crawling out of some stone in the middle of nowhere. So you can use it to mock a "male" who you consider effeminate because of his sexuality. You can also refer to HIM as "Ms" or mahutarma alternatively.

When confronted you lose all of this "manliness" and become a wuss trying to back track that you use it too.

Yeah but by the same logic Asim is made fun of everyone in the house for applying too many creams, serums and what not.

I do get that any taunt with even slight homophobic tone for a LGBT person ( VG in this case and yes Asim shouldn’t have said it) will always be a bigger issue than even direct Homophobic slurs for a Straight guy. ( miss beautiful, Chikna, Beech ka, cream laga bas, Model in underwear wears lipstick and pouts- all very direct ) but were directed at a straight guy so no big issue.

I say this because none of Paras and Tehseens homophobic comments on Asim were reported by TOI but Asim’s Comment has been covered by TOI

I haven’t been following BB this religiously tbh but I do know about the miss beautiful shit from Week 1 and I felt it was extremely inappropriate and Paras used it in a derogatory way to put him down. Sane people called it out too- Check Honest reviews on Mensxp. As for TOI, they are paid media guns. PR driven cheezein chalti rahegi.

See reviewers calling out is something, but something like TOI has a much wider reach even if it’s a PR planted article. Also the article came out 15 minutes after the episode- so it looks like it was already written before the episode and they were just waiting for it to finish and upload it.

My mom who doesn’t even watch BB- reads TOI on her phone and she reads BB gossip, so there will be people who don’t watch the show much( on and off ) but read updates from TOI and will now have a negative opinion of Asim based on the same.
